3/10 Emmanuel Burriss (2B-SF) An MRI exam and CT scan saw the bad news that an X-ray missed. Infielder Emmanuel Burriss did refracture the bone in his left foot, an injury that cost him most of the 2009 season. Burriss got the news Saturday from Giants podiatrist Dr. Larry Oloff, who flew to Arizona from San Francisco to discuss the injury with Burriss and the team's medical staff. Manager Bruce Bochy said Burriss will wear a walking boot for four weeks to stabilize the bone before he is re-evaluated.

3/10 Pat Neshek (P-MIN) With a possible season-ending injury to Joe Nathan, LHP Pat Neshek will be at the front of the grouping looking to nab the closer job for the season. Neshek missed all of 2009 recovering from Tommy John surgery. Other options include Matt Guerrier, Jesse Crain, John Rauch, Clay Condrey, and José Mijares.

3/10 Matt Guerrier (P-MIN) With a possibly season-ending injury to Joe Nathan, Guerrier is probably the leading candidate to close out games for the Twins, as he was the primary set-up man in Minnesota last year. Other options to close and set-up include Pat Neshek, Jesse Crain, John Rauch, Clay Condrey, and José Mijares.

3/10 Jose Mijares (P-MIN) Mijares disappointed the team by showing up late to camp and out of shape for the second consecutive season, but should be in the thick of the closer competition in Minnesota now that Joe Nathan is out for the foreseeable future. If nothing else, as one of the primary set-up men, he should be valuable in fantasy leagues that use Holds and value middle relievers.

3/10 Mat Gamel (3B-MIL) A minor shoulder injury continues to keep Gamel out of spring games, but he's still a good candidate to make the team. If he can just stay healthy and put together a hotstreak, he could win the 3B job from incumbent Casey McGehee. A platoon with McGehee is also a possibility.

3/10 Adam Heether (IF-MIL) With 3B Mat Gamel struggling to come back from a minor shoulder injury, Heether has an outside shot at making the roster as the reserve CI.

3/10 Jesus Flores (C-WSH) Flores is scheduled to have his shoulder checked on by Dr. James Andrews.

3/10 Cristian Guzman (SS-WSH) Guzman is headed back to Washington to be with his wife who is having a baby girl. He should only miss a few days.

3/10 Rob Johnson (C-SEA) Projected by some as the starter entering the season, it now looks as if Johnson will have to make up some ground on either Adam Moore or Josh Bard to even make the opening day roster. He has not caught a game this spring.

3/10 Ryan Feierabend (P-SEA) Ryan Feierabend was sent to AAA Tacoma today, amidst the first cuts of the spring.
