2/03/21	Reports: Jays sign Francisco Liriano to minor league deal. Veteran left-hander Francisco Liriano has reached a minor league deal with the Toronto Blue Jays with an invite to spring training, the Toronto Sun and Sportsnet reported. Liriano, 37, will earn $1.5 million if he makes the club, plus performance bonuses, per the reports. He did not pitch last season after getting released by Philadelphia in July ahead of Opening Day. 2/03/21	Ex-Tigers lefty going back to Blue Jays. Francisco Liriano is going back to Toronto on a minor-league deal. The left-handed pitcher spent parts of the 2016 and 2017 seasons with the Blue Jays before joining the Detroit Tigers in 2018. Although his tenure with Detroit is remembered as a bit of a dud, Liriano gave the Tigers 133 much-needed innings in a miserable year defined by largely miserable starting pitching. Veteran left-hander Francisco Liriano has agreed to a minor league contract with the Toronto Blue Jays that includes an invitation to spring training, a person familiar with the deal told The Associated Press. The 37-year-old Liriano did not pitch in the majors during the pandemic-altered 2020 season.
