| | 8/24/10 | The Reds have yet to decide whether Aaron Harang will need more rehab outings at Triple-A Louisville or be activated from the disabled list.
All indications are that wherever Harang pitches, it will be out of the bullpen and not in a rotation
| | 8/22/10 | Harang is struggling on his minor-league rehab assignment. He pitched six innings and allowed six earned runs and nine hits with no walks and five strikeouts while throwing 95 pitches on Friday. In his two starts at AAA, Harang is 0-2 with a 9.00 ERA, with 14 hits and 11 runs surrendered over 11 innings. | | 8/21/10 | Harang is currently on a rehab assignment and probably won't return until rosters expand in September. | | 7/29/10 | Injured Reds starter Aaron Harang (lower back spasms) has resumed a throwing program in Cincinnati. A target return date remains very much up in the air, however. | | 7/16/10 | The Reds are still unsure of a timetable for the return of pitcher Aaron Harang from the disabled list.
Harang went on the DL on July 16 after being scratched from a start in New York because of back spasms. Reds manager Dusty Baker said he doesn't know when Harang will return or if he will need a rehab start.
| | 7/07/10 | Pitcher Aaron Harang and the Reds gave it their best effort. But all the chiropractic adjustments, ice and stimulation could not get Harang’s back loose enough for him to make the start Tuesday night.
Harang instead was placed on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to his June 30, with lower back spasms.
| | 4/24/10 | There was some talk of Harang being skipped the next time through the rotation, but he will indeed make his next scheduled start on Tuesday in Houston. Talking about his recent struggles, pitching coach Bryan Price said, "I think he got to a point where he kind of isolated himself into a two-pitch pitcher on one side of the plate, with fastball and slider away to right-handed hitters." |
