8/22/10Rockies closer Huston Street entered Friday's game against the Diamondbacks in the ninth inning with a two-run lead. He gave up a leadoff single and walked the next batter but struck out the next two to get one out away from his 10th save of the year. But Miguel Montero lined a two-run double to right field to tie the game and give Street his fourth blown save of the year. "I need to be able to finish guys. I had every single hitter in the inning two strikes, except for the guy I intentionally walked. Two of them 0-2 and they ended up getting on base," Street said. "It's just frustrating. There's just no two ways about it." Street threw 33 pitches in his inning of work, walking two and striking out two while raising his ERA to 4.61.

"Manny is the guy who has gotten us to the point where we are at right now and in a pennant race in the National League West. It's ballooned to 4.19 over the last few days.

Street was in the Minors as part of his recovery from shoulder trouble. At first, it was feared that the timetable for Street's return would be pushed back to mid- to late June. Now, it appears that won't be the case.

3/21/10An MRI on Street's shoulder showed no structural damage. However, there is still inflammation in the shoulder that must calm down, so he will need some time to rebuild is throwing program. He will probably not be ready for Opening Day.
