"I don't think it went too well. It seems like we have to slow down with him," said manager Edwin Rodriguez. "He said it didn't feel 100 percent." Rodriguez said he wasn't ready to give an opinion on whether he thinks Baker will return to the Marlins this year. Baker has been out since May 14. There are reports he could need Tommy John elbow surgery. |

Baker won't need surgery, but he was told to rest his ailing right elbow for four weeks. There's still a good chance he'll return later this season, but he can safely be dropped in NL-only formats. Ronny Paulino, who is batting .303/.335/.421 this season, should do just fine in his absence. He's worthy of attention in NL-only and some deeper mixed formats, as well. |
