7/22/26 Merrill Finally Gets The Jackson.

Yesterday, Jackson Merrill went 2-for-4 with his 14th homer, 2nd homer in two games, four homers in four games. Okay, but what you really want to talk about is how Luis Rengifo homered — a tomato is thrown, and it connects — Bull’s eye to side of my head. Please, blog, may I have some more?

8/19/25 From slump to spark: How Angels' Luis Rengifo found his swing again. From Slump to Spark: How Angels' Luis Rengifo found his swing again He got his swagger back. By PJ Potter | Share on Facebook Share on X Copy Article Los Angeles Angels v Detroit Tigers | Duane Burleson/GettyImages Share on Facebook Share on X Share on Reddit Copy Article Since 2022, Luis Rengifo has been a reliable bat for the Los Angeles Angels. The 28-year-old infielder entered the 2025 campaign with a 100 OPS+ or better in three straight seasons, and has even become an under-the-radar fan favorite. So, it made sense for Halos fans to think he'd be just as good this year, right? Somewhere along the way, unfortunately, Rengifo lost touch with his consistent hitting abilities, batting .187 in

7/29/25 Angels Notes: Massive Roster Move, Trade Unlikely With Dodgers, Major Deadline Updates. The Los Angeles Angels won their series opener against the Texas Rangers on Monday, 6-4. Luis Rengifo broke a 116-at-bat homer streak to give the Angels a 6-3 lead, which they saw out through the remainder of the game. Ahead of the game, the Angels called up starter Jack Kochanowicz after one start in the minors where he allowed no earned runs. In other news, an MLB insider stated the Angels are unlikely to deal with the Los Angeles Dodgers at the trade deadline, despite the Dodgers' need for a closer and the availability of Kenley Jansen.

7/28/25 Angels Unlikely to Trade $10 Million All-Star to Dodgers in Major Update. The Los Angeles Dodgers had a trade in place to acquire utility player Luis Rengifo from the Angels five years ago. The deal was nixed at the insistence of owner Arte Moreno, for reasons that included his own impatience with the process. Joc Pederson, Ross Stripling and — fortunately for the Dodgers — Andy Pages remained in Los Angeles. Rengifo remained in Anaheim.

7/23/25 Angels announcers lose it over 'ridiculous' calls in loss to Mets. The Mets appeared to get some serious strike zone help during their win over the Angels on Wednesday in Queens. Down three runs in the top of the eighth inning, the Angels' Luis Rengifo came to the plate with two on, two outs and a chance to tie the game against Mets closer Edwin Diaz. But home plate umpire Erich Bacchus essentially took the bat out of his hands. One of the worst umpired at bats you will see pic.twitter.com/7NvTSzDWXg — Jomboy Media (@JomboyMedia) July 23, 2025 On the first pitch of the at-bat, Diaz spun an 87 mph slider that appeared to miss by an inch or two outside. Bacchus instead called it a strike, putting Rengifo behind and ticking off Angels color analyst Mark Gubicza.
