4/12/24 Pirates Preview: Bailey Falter faces former team looking for repeat success. The Pittsburgh Pirates were defeated 5-1 by the Philadelphia Phillies at Citizens Bank Park on Thursday in the opening game of a four-game series.
4/11/24 Phils face off with Pirates, ex-teammate Bailey Falter. Bailey Falter will take the mound in a familiar setting for the visiting Pittsburgh Pirates on Friday against the Philadelphia Phillies. The left-hander will make his first appearance at Citizens Bank Park since being traded last July to Pittsburgh from Philadelphia.
4/06/24 Pirates' Bailey Falter seeks improvement vs. Orioles. After getting rocked in his season debut, Pittsburgh left-hander Bailey Falter will be up against another stiff challenge when the Pirates host the Baltimore Orioles on Saturday. Falter (0-0, 13.50 ERA) was tagged for six runs on five hits in four innings on Sunday, but he came away with a no-decision as Pittsburgh beat the Miami Marlins 9-7 in 10 innings. Falter now will have to bounce back against a Baltimore club that racked up 12 hits in a 5-2 victory over the Pirates on Friday in the opener of a three-game series. It was only Pittsburgh's second loss in eight games to start the season.
11/15/23 2023 Phillies in Review: Bailey Falter. To take you all back to 2022, Bailey Falter put together the best pitching stretch of his young career. From July 29 to September 30, Falter made nine starts and put together a 3.06 ERA in 50 innings pitched, albeit against mostly soft competition. When top prospect Andrew Painter was sidelined because of an elbow injury in Spring Training, Falter didn't seem like the worst fallback option. Falter began the season on a promising note.
