Jackson Chourio hit a go-ahead 2-run double for Milwaukee and the bullpen pitched well after Freddy Peralta faltered. After Peralta lasted only 3 1/3 innings, allowing 4 runs, Jared Koenig, Enoli Paredes, Bryan Hudson, Joel Payamps and Trevor Megill pitched 5 2/3 scoreless innings to help the Brewers hold on for the win. Koenig got the win to improve to 6-1. Megill picked up his 9th save. Chourio, Sal Frelick, Bryce Turang and Christian Yelich each had 2 hits for the Brewers. Mize took the loss for Detroit. Jackson Chourio hit a go-ahead, two-run double in the sixth inning and the Milwaukee Brewers beat the Detroit Tigers 5-4 on Saturday. Christian Yelich had two hits and drove in two runs, while Brice Turang reached base three times and scored twice. “His last month, he hasn't gotten to play every day but he's helped us win a bunch of times and today was no exception,” Brewers manager Pat Murphy said.
