Kevin Ginkel's season is over after the Arizona Diamondbacks on Wednesday moved him from the 15-day injured list to 60-day IL with a sprained right shoulder. The D-backs also optioned left-hander Kyle Nelson and selected the contract of 35-year-old Casey Kelly, a right-hander who made his major-league debut in 2012 for the San Diego Padres but from 2019-24 played in the KBO League. Kelly returned to the United States in 2024 and made two appearances for the Cincinnati Reds last season before signing with Arizona on a minor-league deal.

It's been a disappointing tenure in Seattle for Santos, who was acquired before the 2024 season from the Chicago White Sox. Expected to be a crucial part of the M's bullpen, Santos missed most of 2024 with various injuries and only made eight appearances.

The Pittsburgh Pirates made a recent roster move, adding another pitcher to the franchise, who will likely serve as a bullpen option in the future. The Pirates announced that they claimed Los Angeles Dodgers right-handed pitcher Jack Little off of waivers and placed him on the 40-man roster, making him the 39th player with just one opening remaining. Little has made two appearances at the MLB level, both coming with the Dodgers in 2025 and over the past two months. The Dodgers selected his contract on June 19 from Triple-A Oklahoma City and he pitched that day against the San Diego Padres at Dodger Stadium.
