10/12/25 Inability to get runners on base in Game 5 leads to Cubs' exit from postseason. The Chicago Cubs failed to score in the first inning for the only time in the entire NL Division Series. They didn’t do a whole lot the rest of the night, either. A parade of Milwaukee Brewers relievers silenced a lineup that was too reliant on the home run ball as the Cubs lost 3-1 in the winner-take-all Game 5 of this NLDS. The Cubs' only run came on Seiya Suzuki's leadoff homer in the second inning.
