The Houston Astros had to make some roster moves after all of the trades that were completed ahead of the MLB trade deadline, one of which was designating infielder Zack Short for assignment. On Monday, it was revealed what will be next for Short, as he will be remaining with the organization. According to Short's transaction tracker on MLB.com, he has been outrighted to Triple-A Sugar Land, the Astros' affiliate. More than likely, he cleared waivers after being designated for assignment a few days ago.

8/5 2:39 PM Bryan Reynolds (OF/DH-PIT) Pirates Make Five Lineup Changes vs. Giants. Bryan Reynolds returns to right field after not playing there the past three games and bat third for the Pirates. Jack Suwinski, who played the last two games in right field, takes over in center field and bats sixth in the lineup for Pittsburgh. This is the sixth game Suwinski has started in center field, last doing so in the series finale vs. the Minnesota Twins at Target Field on July 13. Suwinski hit a two-run home run and scored the winning run in the comeback, 5-4 walk-off win in the series opener over the Giants on Aug. 4.

The White Sox made three roster moves going into Tuesday's series opener against the Mariners at 8:40 p.m. CT at T-Mobile Park in Seattle, Wash. The first is a relief pitcher swap, with right-hander Owen White headed back to Triple-A Charlotte. White was recalled from Charlotte on Saturday, when the team placed right-hander Dan Altavilla on the 15-day injured list with a right lat strain, but he did not pitch during his brief time with the team. White has pitched 6.2 innings with three earned runs with the White Sox this season, but most of his time has been spent in the minor leagues, where he has a 5.25 ERA in 61.2 innings.

The White Sox got a great return for Adrian Houser at the MLB trade deadline, the proof is his first start with the Tampa Bay Rays being his worst of the year. Adrian Houser had one of the best runs of his professional baseball career with the Chicago White Sox after joining the team on May 20.
