4/17/25 Orioles vie for elusive win streak in clash vs. Guardians. The Baltimore Orioles are in this position again, trying to win consecutive games for the first time this season when they play Thursday evening against the visiting Cleveland Guardians. "If it doesn't happen early in the season, it eventually will happen," Orioles outfielder Ramon Laureano said of putting together strong stretches. The Orioles need to sustain something to alleviate the stress that has built across the first few weeks of the season. "Young really, really good players, they expect so much of themselves," manager Brandon Hyde said.

2/04/25 Baltimore Orioles Designate Infielder for Assignment To Make Room for Free Agent. The Baltimore Orioles dipped back into the free agent pool on Tuesday afternoon when it was announced that they agreed to a one-year deal with outfielder Ramon Laureano. After playing 98 games with the Cleveland Guardians and Atlanta Braves in 2024, the veteran reportedly has landed a deal with the Orioles that includes $4 million in guaranteed money. Because Baltimore was already at the maximum on their 40-man roster, another corresponding move had to be made. To clear space for Laureano, the team decided to designate infielder Luis Vazquez for assignment.

11/25/24 MLB rumors: Braves' free agency priorities come into focus. Atlanta Braves President of Baseball Operations Alex Anthopoulos doesn't have to say it outright; the evidence speaks for itself. The Braves are looking to cut costs headed in to 2025. Look no further than Atlanta's decision not to offer Ramon Laureano a one-year deal in arbitration. With MLB Trade Rumors projecting Laureano to be worth around $6 million for 2025, bringing him back would have hardly been a major expense.

11/16/23 2023 Athletics Season in Review: Ramon Laureano. One of the last remaining players from the Oakland Athletics' last playoff core, Ramon Laureano was hoping to have a big comeback season in 2023 following a lackluster return from his 80-game suspension. If he'd found his form, the A's would've likely traded him to a contender at the trade deadline with 2.5 years of control remaining. Unfortunately, he never got going and the A's released him shortly after the deadline to find another opportunity. One of the biggest steals during the previous era of Oakland baseball, the A's acquired Laureano during the 2017-18 offseason from the Houston Astros for starter Brooks Raley in a minor prospect-for-prospect trade.

8/25/23 Blue Jays losing streak extends to 3 after 5-2 loss to Cleveland Guardians. Ramon Laureano drove in three runs, including a two-run homer, to pace the Cleveland Guardians in their 5-2 victory against the Toronto Blue Jays in the series opener on Friday. Canadian Bo Naylor also helped the visitors by homering in his first at-bat at Rogers Centre as the Blue Jays (70-59) dropped their third game in a row before 40,755. With Toronto ahead 1-0 after George Springer's lead-off homer to right field in the second inning, Naylor, a 23-year-old rookie catcher from Mississauga, ON, tied the game with a one-out blast in the third inning for his fifth that landed in a similar spot as Springer's in the Guardians (61-68) bullpen.
