Quintez Cephus signing with Bills after season-long gambling suspension. Wide receiver Quintez Cephus, one of the five players suspended by the NFL for gambling infractions last April, agreed to a one-year deal with the Bills, according to The Athletic . Cephus, a fifth-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, was cut by the Lions last April, along with safety C.J. Moore, after their indefinite suspension for betting on NFL games. Along with Cephus and Moore, Lions wideouts Jameson Williams and Stanley Berryhill were suspended for six games, while Commanders defensive end Shaka Toney also earned a suspension that would last for at least the entire 2023 season. Cephus was one of five players the NFL reinstated earlier this month . Quintez Cephus reportedly agreed to a one-year

NFL Draft grades: Cowboys load up on Day 3, but where is the RB?. The most exciting portion of the offseason for the Dallas Cowboys is now over, as the 2024 NFL draft concluded with the team selecting four more players on the third and final day. Without a fourth-round pick, after trading it away to the San Francisco 49ers last year for developmental quarterback Trey Lance, the Cowboys missed out on a chance to add some quality players in a deep draft – especially at running back – but they did find four prospects who they hope can help with a roster that experienced turnover in free agency. With their first pick coming at the tail end of round five, the Cowboys had some waiting to do, but they came away with a cornerback prospect who was expected to go much higher.

Will Detroit Lions play Sione Vaki at running back or safety?. Upon trading up for and drafting Utah product Sione Vaki in the fourth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, there was some questions about where the team would ultimately want him to play. Vaki, who had a 30 visit with the Lions, spent the majority of his time playing safety, but also handled 42 carries and tallied 317 yards and two touchdowns while adding 11 catches for 203 yards and another three scores in 2023. Making matters more confusing, Vaki was officially announced as a running back when he was selected, yet the Lions listed him as a safety in their own social media post announcing the pick. When speaking to Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press, Vaki said he's ready to play anywhere, but noted that he met with the Lions' offensive staff during a visit and they indicated they like him as a running back.
