4/29/25 Free agents J.K. Dobbins, Elijah Moore tagged with UFA tenders. The Los Angeles Chargers applied the unrestricted free agent tender on running back J.K. Dobbins, and the Cleveland Browns did the same with wide receiver Elijah Moore, per the NFL transaction log on Tuesday. Dobbins and Moore are free agents and remain free to sign with any team.

4/29/25 RB Dobbins receives rare UFA tender from Bolts. Running back J.K. Dobbins and wide receiver Elijah Moore received the seldom-used unrestricted free agent tender from the Los Angeles Chargers and Cleveland Browns, respectively, according to the NFL's Tuesday morning transactions log. With the tender applied, both players will still apply to the compensatory draft formula for the 2026 draft if they sign with another team before July 22. If they do not sign with another team before that date, the Chargers and Browns will then hold their exclusive negotiating rights.

4/12/25 Proposed Chargers signing sees Los Angeles add former $36 million All-Pro playmaker. After getting more than expected out of running back J.K. Dobbins in 2024, the Los Angeles Chargers decided to make a switch at the position with a massive free-agent signing this offseason. As Dobbins remains without a home, the Chargers addressed their need at running back by signing former Pittsburgh Steelers rusher Najee Harris, who is expected to be the lead back after inking his one-year deal that is worth up to $9.5 million with incentives. With Harris in the fold, the Chargers are probably done making significant additions to the running backs room in free agency, although it's possible the team could add a long-term starting option in the draft, seeing as how Harris is on a one-year deal.

4/07/25 Broncos predicted to steal Chargers breakout star from 2024 in NFL free agency. The Los Angeles Chargers rolled the dice in NFL free agency last year on a high-profile running back who had yet to break out. J.K. Dobbins, who was a star at Ohio State, spent the first four years of his career with the Baltimore Ravens. Dobbins played in just nine games the following three seasons, leading to a soft market in free agency.

4/02/25 Reunion between Chargers and running back may not be in the cards this offseason. The Los Angeles Chargers were a team that took risks this past season. One of the biggest risks was taking a chance on running back J.K. Dobbins. Dobbins' career had been hit with unfortunate injuries, which saw the running back never play a full season in his three years with the Baltimore Ravens. This past season, Dobbins hit career highs in rushing attempts at 195 and rushing yards with 905.

4/01/25 J.K. Dobbins' updated free agency fits include Chargers division rival. The Los Angeles Chargers went into last season with a plethora of players on one-year deals. One of those players happened to be running back J.K. Dobbins . Dobbins, the former Baltimore Raven, came over to the Bolts and proved to be effective, rushing for 905 yards and nine touchdowns in 2024. The Chargers signed Najee Harris a few weeks ago, leading many to believe that Dobbins' time in LA has come to an end. He's still one of the better free agents available and teams might be interested once the draft is over. 3/27/25 Chargers predicted to draft Najee Harris heir-apparent in 40-TD running back. The Los Angeles Chargers will have a new starting running back in 2025 after the team decided not to re-sign J.K. Dobbins in favor of former Pittsburgh Steelers running back Najee Harris. Harris is coming off a four-year stint with the Steelers that saw him tally 1,000 yards on the ground in each campaign. The problem is that Harris is only on a one-year deal, so the team may have to search for a new starter once again in 2026 if Harris doesn't pan out.

3/21/25 Are Chargers plotting to copy Lions at critical position?. The Los Angeles Chargers have made it clear their running back room will be different in 2025. Instead of electing to re-sign J.K. Dobbins, the Chargers signed former Pittsburgh Steeler Najee Harris. Harris isn't exactly a dynamic ballcarrier by any means, but does have four 1,000-yard seasons under his belt and could provide tough yards in the Chargers' offense. Could they replicate the success of the Detroit Lions' running back room?

3/16/25 Chargers 2024 Comeback Player of the Year nominee predicted to join AFC West rival. The Los Angeles Chargers came into the offseason ready to improve the running game ahead of the 2025 season, but many Chargers fans thought that would include bringing J.K. Dobbins back into the fold. While that could still happen, Dobbins is still waiting to find a home for the coming season. The Chargers opted to sign the most expensive free-agent running back on the market, Najee Harris, banking on his hard-running style and the fact that he's never missed a game to power the team's running attack in 2025.

3/13/25 J.K. Dobbins Still an Option For Raiders. The Las Vegas Raiders had the worst rushing attack in 2024, finishing 32nd in yards and in yards per attempt, 28th in rushing touchdown. The Raiders could very well go with a running back in the NFL Draft -- Ashton Jeanty and Omarion Hampton are premium choices that could provide walk-in starter success.

3/09/25 Chargers free agency targets: Pros and cons of signing RB Aaron Jones. The Los Angeles Chargers could be looking to upgrade at running back this offseason. J.K. Dobbins is set to be a free agent, unless the Bolts elect to re-sign him before free agency begins. If Dobbins walks, their running back room will be composed of Kimani Vidal and Hassan Haskins after Gus Edwards' release. Aaron Jones could be a popular option amongst teams this offseason, coming off of a career year in his first go around with the Minnesota Vikings.

3/08/25 Chargers free agency targets: Pros and cons of signing RB Najee Harris. The Los Angeles Chargers went out on a limb in 2024 and signed J.K. Dobbins away from the Baltimore Ravens. While Dobbins always had the talent to be a star, he struggled with durability, playing in nine games over the past three seasons. Now, he's set to cash in during free agency, which leaves the Chargers with a dilemma. Do they sign Dobbins to a long-term deal and hope he stays healthy, or look for an alternative in free agency?

3/04/25 Chargers predicted to replace J.K. Dobbins with projected $27 million playmaker. When the Los Angeles Chargers signed running back J.K. Dobbins in free agency last offseason, there was no telling what he would be able to provide. Dobbins had his best year as a pro, with the former second-round pick tallying over 1,000 yards from scrimmage — including 905 on the ground — and nine touchdowns. Dobbins' future is currently up in the air. In the event that the Chargers go in a different direction at running back in 2025 for whatever reason, Fantasy Pros thinks Pittsburgh Steelers running back Najee Harris will be the solution to replace Dobbins.

3/01/25 Former Ohio State Buckeyes star could sign with Pittsburgh Steelers. Among all of the former Ohio State Buckeyes stars playing in the NFL, running back J.K. Dobbins is one of the most under talked about alums. Dobbins has struggled with injury issues throughout his career. In 2024 with the Chargers, Dobbins played in 13 games.

2/23/25 Chargers: Surprise free agents could spotlight as J.K. Dobbins replacements. The Los Angeles Chargers have some interesting directions they could go at the running back position this offseason. After a Comeback Player of the Year-worthy season, J.K. Dobbins heads to free agency and might not be that easy to retain if he hits the open market. Veteran Gus Edwards has the feel of a cut candidate with one year left on his current contract. If the Chargers don't get Dobbins back, though, some downright surprising names might be available in free agency.

2/15/25 Los Angeles Chargers free agent who probably won't be back makes top 10 list. The Los Angeles Chargers have a number of key players heading to free agency this offseason who feel like relative unknowns as to whether they actually return in 2025. Think, Khalil Mack, Denzel Perryman and J.K. Dobbins, right on down to new breakouts such as Poona Ford and Krisitan Fulton.
