4/19/23	Rangers' Jacob DeGrom Expected To Make Next Start. Photo : Getty Images The Texas Rangers' top pitcher is expecting to make his next start. Right-hander Jacob deGrom said the soreness in his right wrist is feeling better. DeGrom told reporters that he did some work in the training room, feels good and fully anticipates making his next start. Manager Bruce Bochy said he will play catch Wednesday and will "check out how his wrist feels." DeGrom pitched four hitless innings before departing Monday night's game against the Kansas City Royals. The 34-year-old signed a five-year, 185-million dollar contract with Texas during the offseason. He is scheduled to pitch Sunday against the Oakland Athletics. New York Mets fans received a long awaited treat Tuesday night as ace and two-time Cy Young award winner Jacob DeGrom finally returned to action after being out injured since the 2021 season. DeGrom made his first start of the year against the Washington Nationals and looked like his normal self albeit a smaller sample size. The Mets transferred Jacob deGrom, who is still on the mend from a stress reaction to his right scapula, to the 60-day injured list on Tuesday. 4/01/22	An MRI today revealed a stress reaction in deGrom's right scapula. No timetable is known right now, but he is expected to miss a significant amount of time to start the 2022 season.
4/01/22	DeGrom will be shut down from throwing completely for up to four weeks and then re-evaluated. June is the best-case scenario for his return to the mound.
3/31/22	DeGrom has shoulder stiffness according to Manager Buck Showalter and his last spring training start on Friday is in jeopardy. This clearly puts Opening Day in serious jeopardy. An MRI may happen as soon as Friday.
