4/23/24 Recap: James Outman Provides Dodgers Game-Winning Hit Against Nationals. The Los Angeles Dodgers began their first long road trip of the season with a 4-1 win against the Washington Nationals, despite some lingering issues from their losing streak. Offense was once again hard to come by for the Dodgers early in the game as they went 1-for-5 with runners in scoring position and left nine runners on base. Most of their opportunities came with runners in scoring position came with two outs, and it was struggles from the top and bottom of their lineup leaving runners stranded. Hernández tied the game with a single in the sixth inning, with the rally started by a single from Teoscar Hernández and a walk from Max Muncy.
