5/01/24	Rays and Brewers get into wild brawl, with Uribe and Siri in the middle of it. Punches were thrown when a brawl broke out between the Tampa Bay Rays and Milwaukee Brewers. The fracas ensued after Jose Siri grounded out against Brewers pitcher Abner Uribe leading off the eighth inning. Uribe and Siri exchanged words near first base and things quickly became heated. With an umpire standing between them trying to keep the peace, Uribe threw a punch at Siri, who then took a wild swing at the reliever as both dugouts and bullpens emptied quickly. The animosity between Siri and the Brewers had been building all night. He took a long look at his home run in the third off Freddy Peralta, who drilled Siri with a 3-0 fastball in the sixth. 4/15/24	Angels Erupt Late To Beat Rays. The Los Angeles Angels (8-8) blew out the Tampa Bay Rays (9-8) 7-3 on Monday night at Tropicana Field in the first of a four-game series between the two teams. The Rays led 1-0 late thanks to Jose Siri scoring on a RBI groundout from Harold Ramirez in the fifth inning. But the Angels erupted for five runs in the eighth and added two more in the seventh to turn this game in their favor. Mike Trout gave the Angels a lead in the eighth with a two-run blast, his seventh. Matt Thaiss added a three-run double to make it 5-1. Though Harold Ramirez hit a two-run homer in the eighth to pull within 5-3, Taylor Ward answered with a two-run blast of his own to make it 7-3 in favor of the Angels. 4/12/24	Umpires make terrible calls on consecutive plays in Giants-Rays game. Many players go an entire season without being involved in a manager challenge play. Tampa Bay Rays star Jose Siri found himself involved in two challenge plays in less than 90 seconds Friday night, thanks to a couple of truly baffling umpire calls. In the bottom of the fourth inning, Siri took a check swing and clearly hit San Francisco Giants catcher Patrick Bailey's glove, about as textbook an example of catcher's interference as one can find. José Caballero has shown up for the Rays through the early days of the 2024 Major League Baseball season, and he did so again in Tuesday's game against the Los Angeles Angels. Caballero extended his on-base streak to 10 games, as he recorded three hits and two RBIs.
