Shortstop Orlando Cabrera is going to miss a significant amount of time with his strained left oblique. These types of injuries typically put a player out for a month to six weeks. The Reds aren't speculating how long it will be with Cabrera.

The Cincinnati Reds may have beaten the Pittsburgh Pirates 4-0 last night but the team may have lost Orlando Cabrera to the disabled list, according to the Cincinnati Equirer.
The shortstop hurt himself in the ninth inning while hitting into a double play to end the inning, the paper reports.
"It doesn't look good," manager Dusty Baker told the Enquirer. "It's a side. Those are bad. It's his left side, which is his lead side. That makes it worse." Baker and GM Walt Jocketty were talking options on the phone after the game, the Enquirer notes.
