Houston Texans wide receiver Nico Collins had a breakout campaign in 2023, playing a pivotal role in helping the Texans capture a stunning AFC South division title and crash the AFC party in the process. Now, Houston general manager Nick Caserio may be preparing to reward him for it. Collins became eligible for a contract extension this offseason, and at the NFL Scouting Combine back in February, Caserio spoke about the possibility of a new deal for his star pass-catcher, per Aaron Wilson.

The Houston Texans not only gave the 2024 rookie class a chance to achieve their dreams, but they also gave them an opportunity to play alongside one of the league's most promising quarterbacks, C.J. Stroud. The rookie class is thrilled to have Stroud as a teammate, especially offensive tackle Blake Fisher, who has taken pride in keeping the Pro Bowl quarterback upright. "When you have a quarterback of caliber like C.J., it's super exciting," Fisher said. Stroud led the Texans to a 10-7 regular season record, the franchise's most wins since 2019.

5/11/24 Texans' CJ Stroud 'Very Excited' to Have Full Offseason to 'Really Get Better'. A year removed from being the No. 2 pick in the NFL draft, Houston Texans quarterback CJ Stroud is happy the process is behind him. "I'm coming to the same offense, and I get to slow down and really get better at what we're trying to get done this next year," Stroud told reporters Friday. Stroud spent much of his offseason a year ago preparing for the NFL draft. "I was meeting every team, going through offense after offense, meeting with a new coordinator, meeting with a new head coach next week, then finally got here and everything just ramped up," Stroud said.
