5/10/24 Milwaukee Brewers Appear to Be Benching Top Prospect Jackson Chourio. The Milwaukee Brewers appear to be making some major changes with regards to top prospect and Opening Day starter Jackson Chourio. In three games since Christian Yelich returned from the injured list, Chourio has been out of the lineup each time, although he did get a couple plate appearances off the bench Wednesday. Yelich,Sal Frelick and Blake Perkins certainly appear to be above Chourio in the outfield pecking order right now, and Jake Bauers might be, as well... Given his contract extension this offseason, Chourio is certainly a huge part of the Brewers future, but if his playing time continues to slide, he may be better served heading back to Triple-A to get his confidence and rhythm back.

4/27/24 Brice Turang: Up-And-Coming Dynasty Players. Welcome back, friends, to another week of Up-and-Coming Dynasty Players. Last week I talked about Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Jackson Chourio. I'm liking Milwaukee so much that I have decided to stick with the Brewers and talk about second baseman Brice Turang. Selected with the 21st overall pick in the 2018 draft out of high school, Turang was playing in Triple-A by 2021 at the age of 21 as the club aggressively pushed him through the system. A left-handed hitter, Turang spent all of the 2022 season at Triple-A Nashville, slashing .286/.360/.412 with 13 homers, 78 RBI and 34 steals while only being caught stealing twice. The homers and RBI were career highs. Turang started the 2023 season back at Nashville but was there for only 15 games before the Brewers recalled him. He spent the rest of the season with Milwaukee, appearing in 137 games and slashing a not-so-thrilling .218/.285/.300. Those are not the numbers of a player who is an up-and-coming dynasty player. But I think he is a player to target. Let's examine why.

4/20/24 Brewers beat Cardinals; secure series victory. ST. LOUIS — Jackson Chourio followed Brice Turang for back-to-back home runs in the fourth inning, becoming the fourth-youngest player since 1900 with four homers in his first 17 games, and the Milwaukee Brewers routed the St. Louis Cardinals 12-5 Saturday. Rhys Hoskins homered had three RBIs for the Brewers, whose 18 hits were their most in three years. Every Brewers starter had a hit, and eight had multiple hits. The bottom three batters in the order were 6 for 12 with four RBIs. Advertisement Milwaukee is a major league-best 9-2 on the road and has won seven of its last eight games against St. Louis. The Brewers had their most hits since 22 in a 17-4 win at the Chicago Cubs on Aug. 12, 2021.

4/19/24 Jackson Chourio: Up-And-Coming Dynasty Players. For the past several weeks I have been highlighting the under-the-radar players who I believe are up-and-coming dynasty players. This week I am changing gears a bit since the player I want to highlight has been a top prospect for several years and is the farthest thing from being an under-the-radar player. This week the spotlight falls on Jackson Chourio of the Milwaukee Brewers. Chourio has been a hot commodity in baseball since signing with the Brewers for $1.8 million in January 2021. One year later, at the age of 18, he slashed .288/.342/.538 with 20 homers, 75 RBI and 16 steals across three levels in the minors. He continued that success last year. Playing at Double-A for most of last season before ending the year with a six-game run at Triple-A, Chourio hit 22 homers, drove in 91 runs and stole 44 bases while slashing .283/.338/.467. The last teenage minor leaguer to post a 20-40 season was Ronald Acuna Jr. in 2017. The Brewers knew they had a special player on their hands, so they made sure he would remain with the team for a while. This past December the club inked Chourio to an eight-year contract with two club options, potentially keeping him in Milwaukee through 2033. If you are a seasoned dynasty player, then you know about Chourio and understand his value. But if you are new to dynasty baseball, then you are probably being approached by other players about trading for Chourio. Don't do it. I'll explain why Chourio is an up-and-coming dynasty player.

4/01/24 Brewers Veteran Players Compare Jackson Chourio To Other MLB Stars; Could He Be Next Acuna Jr.?. MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) – Following the Milwaukee Brewers series sweep over the New York Mets, Brewers players are comparing top prospect Jackson Chourio to other MLB stars they've played against, and some big names came up. According to MLB.com, Brewers first baseman Rhys Hoskins, who has played against the Atlanta Braves many times in his career, had one name that came to mind: “If I'm having to pull something off the top of my head, A young Acuña. I know that's a pretty easy comparison, but when Acuña came up, he was this really twitchy, athletic kid, but so smooth. He still had some learning to do about the game and hitting; obviously, he's evolved into a monster now. But with the raw tools,

3/25/24 Milwaukee Brewers looking to Oliver Dunn, Janson Junk, Jake Bauers. Much of the hype surrounding the Milwaukee Brewers this spring has centered around an abundance of young talent permeating the roster. The Brewers system includes Jackson Chourio, an outfielder with a blend of power and speed who is MLB.com's No. 2-ranked prospect; right-handed pitcher Jacob Misiorowski, who has shown the ability to touch 100 mph on his fastball, strong-armed catcher Jeferson Quero and infielder Tyler Black, who is also getting reps in the outfield. Brewers manager Pat Murphy is enthusiastic about some late bloomers in the organization, too, including 26-year-old infielder Oliver Dunn, 28-year-old right-handed pitcher Janson Junk and 28-year-old first baseman Jake Bauers.

3/24/24 Why Jackson Holliday isn't on Orioles' Opening Day roster. The Baltimore Orioles showed in 2023 that their young talent is ready to win now. To the surprise and dismay of fans everywhere throughout the baseball world, Holliday was not selected to be on the Opening Day roster for 2024. The stud infielder is the top prospect in all of MLB but, unlike other top names like Jackson Chourio and Wyatt Langford, he's going to start the season in Triple-A. According to Roch Kubatko of Masn, Orioles general manager Mike Elias simply wants to bring Holliday along slowly.
