5/11/24 Dodgers News: Rehabbing Clayton Kershaw 'More Approachable'. Clayton Kershaw began the 2024 season, his 17th as a part of the Los Angeles Dodgers, on the 60-day injured list as he recovers from offseason shoulder surgery. Kershaw has been continuing his rehab process away from the Dodgers at his home in Texas, but he has been joining the team in Los Angeles during homestands. While not on the active roster, Kershaw can still be seen in the dugouts at Dodger Stadium chatting it up with his teammates while taking in the game. The change in demeanor is something that Dodgers manager Dave Roberts has taken note of during games.

5/08/24 Why Los Angeles Dodgers great Clayton Kershaw agreed to a new biography. When Los Angeles Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw walked off the mound in Game One of the 2017 World Series, he had to be feeling good about his effort. Coming into that game, Kershaw had a 7-7 postseason record in his seven major league seasons, but against the Houston Astros that steamy night he'd given up just one run over seven innings while striking out 11 in a dominating win. A couple of years later, the Astros sign-stealing scandal would put Kershaw's rough outing in a different light, but the three-time Cy Young winner finds himself in one of the most confounding positions in sports history: He's an all-time top-shelf great — his 2.48 ERA is the best among all pitchers with at least 1,500 innings pitched since 1920, as are his 1.00 WHIP and .585 OPS allowed – who is also defined by a handful of playoff losses. Oddly, the highlights, like in 2016 when Kershaw pitched in relief to get his first career save and defeat the Nationals to go to the NLCS, are overlooked because they don't fit the narrative.

5/08/24 Dodgers Injury Updates: Clayton Kershaw, Bobby Miller, Jason Heyward, and Emmet Sheehan. The Los Angeles Dodgers' roster has continued to be impacted by injury as of late, but there is a group of injured players who are making good progress at various stages of their rehab process. The bullpen has been the most affected group, with seven relievers spending time on the injured list. Clayton Kershaw will not be returning to a Major League mound anytime soon, but hie rehabilitation from offseason left shoulder surgery has continued to steadily yield positive progress. It was Kershaw's second bullpen session of his rehab and this one seems to have gone just as well as the last.

4/18/24 Dodgers Injury Update: Clayton Kershaw Progressing Toward Throwing Off Mound. The Los Angeles Dodgers re-signed Clayton Kershaw in the offseason with the expectation that he was not going to be ready to contribute to their rotation at any point during the first half of 2024. It was one of the reasons that the Dodgers' front office was so aggressive in addressing starting pitching depth as a whole. Offseason acquisitions Tyler Glasnow, Yoshinobu Yamamoto and James Paxton have all impressed at different moments. The new arms the Dodgers collected have allowed the Kershaw to be patient in how he attacks the rehab process.

4/14/24 Dodgers' Clayton Kershaw gets real on uptick in pitcher injuries to start 2024 campaign. There have been a lot of injuries to pitchers in MLB over the last year or so, which has caused some to blame the implementation of the pitch clock, but Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Clayton Kershaw said that he does not believe anyone has the answer for why. “If someone says, 'I have it figured out,' I wouldn't listen to them,” Clayton Kershaw said, via Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic. Atlanta Braves ace Spencer Strider undergoing surgery to repair his ulnar collateral ligament headlines the latest injuries, with other pitchers like Eury Perez of the Miami Marlins and Shane Bieber of the Cleveland Guardians being lost for the season.

Kershaw was on the field before Saturday's game long-tossing from about 120 feet and then throwing some more on flat ground with added intensity.
