After taking over the reigns of baseball operations for the team during the 2016-17 offseason, most of Hazen's roster building success has come via shrewd trades, the draft and international signings, as well as waiver wire pickups. San Francisco's new president of baseball operations Buster Posey, Bumgarner's former teammate, revealed on the latest episode of the "Starkville" podcast that he has spoken with Bumgarner in recent months and that the former Giants ace has shown interest in joining the organization and working with the team's pitchers.
