Cubs acquire reliever Andrew Kittredge from Baltimore Orioles. The Chicago Cubs have acquired Andrew Kittredge in a late Wednesday night trade with the Baltimore Orioles. Chicago, looking to beef up their bullpen, as they currently trade in the National League Central by a single game to the Milwaukee Brewers. The Cubs finished the series strong on Wednesday, winning the series finale. The 35-year-old right-hander was with St. Louis last season and was solid.

Pirates sending 3B Ke'Bryan Hayes to Reds for reliever Rogers, prospect Stafura, AP source says. The Pittsburgh Pirates are trading Gold Glove-winning third baseman Ke’Bryan Hayes to Cincinnati for veteran reliever Taylor Rogers and shortstop prospect Sammy Stafura, according to a person with knowledge of the deal. The person spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because the trade was not official. The 28-year-old Hayes gives the Reds an elite defender at the hot corner who is under contract for the rest of the decade. The 20-year-old Stafura, a second-round pick by the Reds in 2023, is considered one of the better prospects in Cincinnati's system.
