Does Ravens' Lamar Jackson Go First in NFL Redraft?. While it's hard to fathom that Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson nearly fell out of the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft, it didn't seem so crazy at the time. Leading up to the draft, some scouts and analysts were adamant that Jackson should transition from quarterback to wide receiver to maximize his chances of making it in the NFL.

Chargers breakout candidate isn't only rookie WR shining at training camp. The Los Angeles Chargers may have the magic touch when it comes to drafting receivers. McConkey shined as a rookie, catching 82 passes for 1,149 yards and seven touchdowns during the regular season. One thing was painfully obvious in the offseason: the Chargers needed more weapons.

Kyle Allen (QB - PIT)

8/1/25 7:28 AM -
Stock Watch: Rookie WRs among few bright spots for Lions in preseason loss. It didn't take long for TeSlaa to flash his penchant for big plays, notching consecutive explosives (gains of 24 and 22 yards) in the first quarter. The first catch was courtesy of a play-action rollout by quarterback Kyle Allen, who put the ball on TeSlaa near Detroit's 30-yard line, allowing the rookie to pick up 15 yards after the catch. TeSlaa also had a notable rep as a gunner on punt coverage, beating the opponent in front of him and forcing Nyheim Miller-Hines to settle for a fair catch at the 10-yard line.

Travis Kelce (TE - KC)

Chiefs' Travis Kelce Earns Tremendous Honor. 2025 could be a very special season for the Kansas City Chiefs. Several goals loom in the distance for the franchise, from winning the AFC West division title for the 10th season in a row to making their fourth straight Super Bowl appearance, which is something that has only ever been achieved once in the history of the NFL. 2025 could also be a special season for veteran tight end Travis Kelce. In what could be his final season in the National Football League, the Chiefs making it to the Super Bowl with him on the roster would be the cherry on top of a tremendous career, should he decide to hang up the cleats.

Chargers-Commanders trade idea gives Los Angeles huge upgrade at shaky position. The Los Angeles Chargers are looking to take that next step in 2025 after an upstart 2024 campaign that saw them exceed expectations. In order to do that, the Chargers needed to bolster their receivers room for quarterback Justin Herbert, who didn't have enough reliable weapons last season. While Ladd McConkey has established himself as the Chargers' No. 1 target in the passing game, there remains quite a bit of uncertainty surrounding Quentin Johnston and Tre Harris. If the Chargers are looking for an upgrade, they might want to give the Washington Commanders a call about wide receiver Terry McLaurin, who has reportedly requested a trade in the midst of a contract dispute.

Colts' QB Anthony Richardson gives up his favorite candy to try to win competition vs. Daniel Jones. Anthony Richardson is entering a pivotal season in his NFL career. The former top-five pick has had a frustrating first two seasons with the Indianapolis Colts. Now into year three, this may be Richardson's last chance to prove, at least in Indy, that he's a starting NFL quarterback. The Colts brought in Daniel Jones this offseason as competition for the starting QB role, and it sounds in the early going like the two passers are right alongside each other in the battle.

Quarterback Patrick Mahomes knows he has to find a way to launch the football downfield more often to bring back more explosiveness in that regard. One of the best steps to achieve an offensive goal is by having a leader emerge in the Chiefs' wide receiving room.
