7/28/25 Dodgers Expressing Interest in Cardinals' All-Star Brendan Donovan as Outfield Upgrade. Left field has been a blackhole for the Los Angeles Dodgers this season. After signing Michael Conforto to a one-year, $17 million contract, Los Angeles was hoping for the former All-Star to fortify the bottom of their lineup. With Michael Conforto struggling and no clear in-house replacement, the Dodgers are actively searching the trade market for upgrades, specifically a left-handed hitting outfielder, per Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic.

7/25/25 Dodgers predicted to acquire Guardians All-Star duo in 6-player mega-blockbuster. Are the Los Angeles Dodgers playing possum? Of all the World Series contenders, the Dodgers seemingly have the fewest trade deadline needs, which makes sense, because they did a ton of heavy lifting in the offseason. Conceivably, the Dodgers could replace Michael Conforto as the starting left fielder and add a new closer, especially with Tanner Scott's status currently up in the air. In fact, Just Baseball's Ryan Finkelstein and Jay Staph think they can kill both birds with one stone.

7/24/25 Dodgers predicted to trade for $122 million 2x All-Star in blockbuster deal. The Los Angeles Dodgers could be looking for an outfielder at the trade deadline, as Michael Conforto has turned out to be a failed signing in left field.

7/22/25 Dodgers manager Dave Roberts has struggling outfielder's back as trade deadline nears. With the trade deadline fast approaching, the Los Angeles Dodgers are weighing all their options — including what to do about Michael Conforto. The veteran outfielder has struggled mightily in his first season in L.A., slashing just .176/.296/.314 with a .610 OPS. Once envisioned as a key depth piece in a star-studded lineup, Conforto has instead become a liability at the plate and in the field. “I've shown my confidence in him, playing him, where I hit him in the order,” Roberts said.

7/15/25 1 Fatal flaw Los Angeles Dodgers must address before 2025 MLB trade deadline. The Los Angeles Dodgers find themselves in a unique spot heading into the trade deadline. On one hand, their record shows that they are the best team in the National League, a squad with three former MVPs, five 2025 All-Stars, and enough depth to suffer through a seven-game losing streak in July and still roll into the All-Star break as the team to beat on their side of the bracket. Of the Dodgers' eight regular starters in the field, their clear weak link has to be Michael Conforto, the former San Francisco Giants left fielder who was signed as a one-year contract to “upgrade” the left field spot but has struggled mightily to find his swing a few hours down the PCH. Turning attention to the mound, the Dodgers entered the year with so much pitching that some fans thought they could run a six-man rotation, but that unit has been battered with injuries like few others could imagine, with Roki Sasaki and Blake Snell currently on IL, Tyler Glasnow just coming off of the list, and other pitchers like Dustin Maye struggling to take on the top of an order roughly once a week.

7/09/25 Four Mets Prospects Who Could Fuel a Playoff Push. Last year it was Luisangel Acuña that injected some life into the Mets offense with key hits in September to push the Mets over the finish line towards a playoff berth. Michael Conforto was called up from Double-A in July 2015 as a 22-year-old. If the Mets are to find themselves making a deep run into October, these four prospects could be part of the reason why. McLean has been a player that Met fans have been waiting to be called up for the better part of the last two months.

7/03/25 Dodgers Could 'Scour the Market' for Key Upgrade at Trade Deadline: Report. The Los Angeles Dodgers have the best record in baseball, but their roster could be refined before the postseason arrives. As the trade deadline nears, there is speculation as to where the Dodgers front office will put their focus on the market. The ongoing struggles of Michael Conforto is certainly a case for the Dodgers pursuing an outfielder this summer. Meanwhile, the Dodgers' depleted pitching staff could also be reason for the defending champions to trade for a starter or reliever.

6/26/25 Dodgers Manager Seems to Admit Michael Conforto Could Lose Spot at Trade Deadline. The Los Angeles Dodgers have had concerns about veteran outfielder Michael Conforto all season long, but manager Dave Roberts recently discussed what the plan with him will be moving forward. While Conforto had his first multi-hit night since the end of May on Tuesday, and homered for the second straight game on Wednesday, the skipper spoke on how important the next month leading up to the trade deadline will be for the 32-year-old All-Star. “It's critical,” Roberts said. Conforto has an abysmal .176 batting average with an OPS of .610.

6/20/25 Dodgers could soon cut ties with $17 million offseason addition. This past offseason, the Los Angeles Dodgers signed outfielder Michael Conforto to a one-year, $17 million contract. Conforto spent nine seasons in Major League Baseball before this season, playing with the New York Mets and San Francisco Giants before heading to the Dodgers this winter. The Dodgers probably thought Conforto would come in and contribute right away to the team, but it has been a struggle for the 32-year-old outfielder.
