7/10/25 Rangers' Tyler Mahle set for significant step in recovery, Jon Gray makes 1st rehab start. A key member of the Texas Rangers' rotation is expected to take a significant step in his return from injury before the club kicks off the season's second half. Rangers manager Bruce Bochy said Thursday that right-handed pitcher Tyler Mahle (shoulder) will start throwing again next week. Mahle hasn't pitched since June 10 and was moved to the 60-day injured list July 1 with a right rotator cuff strain. The 30-year-old was off to a career-best start before his injury with a 2.34 ERA in his first 14 starts this season.

7/08/25 Predicting Rangers' next big trade before deadline. The Texas Rangers have been a disaster since winning the 2023 World Series. Despite their high payroll and the uncertain American League Wild Card picture, the Rangers should trade starting pitcher Tyler Mahle before the July 31 deadline. Mahle will be an unrestricted free agent at the end of this season. Considering the Rangers' high payroll and up-and-coming pitching prospects, they would be better off letting Mahle walk this offseason.

7/06/25 Texas Rangers Named 'Potential Landing Spot' For Six Starters at Trade Deadline. While Texas Rangers starting pitchers rank first overall in MLB with a 3.21 staff ERA through 89 games, it looks as though they will still need to add to the unit at the upcoming trade deadline. Tyler Mahle's spot on the injured list makes the need even larger, but the Rangers could have used another arm to round out their rotation for the postseason if they plan to compete past the deadline. R.J. Anderson of CBS Sports recently ranked the top 25 players expected to be moved at the trade deadline and listed Texas as a potential landing spot for six different starters. 7/04/25 MLB Insider Hypothesizes Rangers All-Star Slugger Could Be Traded. The Texas Rangers are a team that many people are keeping a close eye on in the coming weeks. Should the Rangers fall out of the playoff race, they have a lot talent that will garner interest on the trade market. Players on expiring contracts would make a lot of sense to move, such as starting pitchers Tyler Mahle and Patrick Corbin and several relief pitchers headlined by Luke Jackson, Hoby Milner and Chris Martin.

7/01/25 Texas Rangers RHP Tyler Mahle optimistic he'll pitch again this season. The good news, Texas Rangers right-handed pitcher Tyler Mahle said Tuesday, is that he believes his rotator cuff strain is “healing really fast” and he believes he'll pitch again this regular season. “But,” Mahle said, “it sucks, it is what it is.” It is, at this stage, a wrench thrown into Mahle's strong season and a guarantee that he will miss an extended period of time. Mahle was placed on the 60-day injured list Tuesday afternoon as part of a flurry of roster moves that the Rangers made before their game vs. the Baltimore Orioles.

6/30/25 Texas Rangers Shift Tyler Mahle's Injury Timeline After Latest Shoulder Imaging. This has been one of the best seasons of Tyler Mahle's career and it is clear that the pitching staff for the Texas Rangers are missing him while he deals with his rotator cuff strain. MLB.com's Kennedi Landry reported on Monday that Mahle won't be able to return to the Rangers' starting rotation until at least after the MLB trade deadline. “We're going to pump the brakes on him right now,” Rangers president of baseball operations Chris Young said.

6/10/25 Texas Rangers' offensive eruption vs. Twins powered by those that needed it the most. On “Prince Night” at Target Field, surrounded by innumerous shades of purple, the Texas Rangers followed orders delivered by the stadium soundtrack and went crazy. The Rangers have spent this season almost exclusively propped up by the American League's best starting rotation and simultaneously handcuffed by a bottom-five offense. In Tuesday's 16-4 series-opening win against the Minnesota Twins, though, the Rangers did not require perfection from starter Tyler Mahle. Be the smartest Rangers fan.
