8/01/25 Saints Shocker? New Orleans Linked To Trade For Breakout QB. The New Orleans Saints lost Derek Carr to retirement earlier this offseason and replaced him with rookie Tyler Shough. The Saints' quarterback room is now one of the worst units in the league and it's clear they need to make an addition ahead of the season, no matter how small. FanSided's Wynston Wilcox recently urged the Saints to pick up the phone and call the Los Angeles Chargers to swing a trade for Trey Lance.

8/01/25 Saints Shockingly Linked To Blockbuster Trade For Talented QB. The New Orleans Saints lost quarterback Derek Carr to a sudden retirement over the offseason, opting to replace him with second round pick Tyler Shough. In fact, the Saints received a lot of hate for the Shough selection because fans and scouts didn't like his development or age. Former NFL star Asante Samuel seems to have a solution in mind for the Saints: trade for Cleveland Browns rookie signal caller Shedeur Sanders.

7/21/25 Saints have a glaring QB weakness, and Tyler Shough might be the answer. The New Orleans Saints enter training camp facing a glaring question at quarterback after Derek Carr's retirement. Carr's exit has left the Saints with their biggest weakness squarely under center, and on Monday, ESPN's NFL analyst Mike Clay pointed to quarterback as the team's softest spot. Unlike most first-year quarterbacks, Shough arrives in New Orleans with experience gained from an extended college career.

7/15/25 Former QB Derek Carr Shares His Thoughts on the Raiders. The Las Vegas Raiders are one of the most polorazing teams in all of sports. The Raiders and Derek Carr parted ways several offseasons ago, but the two will always be tied at the hip, as Carr still ranks as the organizations all-time leading passer. Few have more credibility when speaking about the Raiders than Carr.

7/13/25 Former Raider Derek Carr Reveals Challenge of Seahawks. One place that the Raiders always have a tough time playing at is Lumen Field in Seattle. 7/10/25 Why ESPN gave Saints their worst 2025 offseason grade. ESPN didn't pull any punches when it handed the New Orleans Saints the worst offseason grade in the NFL, giving the Saints a hard “D” that reflects more than just a few questionable decisions. While the Saints may have stumbled into some positive outcomes, the process behind their offseason strategy, or lack thereof, shows a franchise lost in the fog of mediocrity. The most glaring issue was the team's initial commitment to quarterback Derek Carr. Despite being a cap-strapped team in dire need of a rebuild, New Orleans was prepared to pay Carr a guaranteed $30 million salary for 2025, a move that made little long-term sense.

7/09/25 The Saints' slick new helmets will (temporarily) distract from their upcoming dreadful season. Even after Derek Carr's retirement earlier this offseason, the New Orleans Saints are caught between a rock and a hard place. Their starting quarterback this year will either be a 25-year-old rookie (Tyler Shough) or a former fifth-round draft pick (Spencer Rattler) who is probably too small (and too erratic) to ever be a consistently viable passer. They have no truly difference-making pass-rushers with a lot of gas in the tank (sorry, Cameron Jordan), which may, admittedly, hang a promising secondary on paper out to dry. Even in a haphazard NFC South that seems up for grabs, it's pretty clear that first-year head coach Kellen Moore has his work cut out for him . This probably isn't a rebuild

7/07/25 Eagles Star Opens Up About Saints Coach Kellen Moore. The New Orleans Saints are going to look different in 2025. New Orleans' roster doesn't looking strikingly different from how it did in 2024. Sure, there are pieces no longer with the franchise, like Derek Carr. The offense should look a lot different, though, thanks to the addition of head coach Kellen Moore.

7/06/25 Derek Carr Recalls Favorite Raiders Moment vs. Hated Rival. One game that Raider Nation always brings up when they are talking about the Raiders and Chiefs rivalry is the game that took place in Oakland in 2017. Former Oakland and Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Derek Carr called it a career and retired this offseason. Carr is one of the best quarterbacks, if not the best quarterback, in the Raiders franchise history. Carr was a staple for the Raiders for many years, and it was fun to watch him play, especially for Raider Nation.
