7/13/25 Yankees' Aaron Judge Already Among Greatest Ever. On Saturday against the Chicago Cubs, the 33-year-old became the fastest player in MLB history to reach the 350-home run plateau after launching a two-run shot off Brad Keller in the bottom of the ninth inning. Judge accomplished that feat in 1,088 career games, which is well ahead of the second-quickest player in Mark McGwire, who did so in 1,280 contests. Judge, who was the leading All-Star vote-getter this year and thus will start at the Midsummer Classic on Tuesday, currently leads all players in batting average (.358), on-base percentage (.465) and slugging percentage (.739).

They officially selected reliever Brad Keller's contract, after bringing him in as a non-roster invitee. They put relievers Tyson Miller (left hip impingement, retroactive to March 21) and Ryan Brasier (strained left groin, retroactive to March 25) on the 15-day IL, freeing up room on the active roster for Keller and Eli Morgan, who the Cubs recalled from Triple-A Iowa. 5/27/24 New Red Sox pitcher chose Boston for this specific reason. On Sunday, the Boston Red Sox signed right-handed pitcher Brad Keller after he was designated for assignment by the Chicago White Sox. While Keller was a free agent during the season, he likely had options of organizations to sign with, and he said he was drawn to Boston. According to Audacy's Rob Bradford, Keller said he was interested in joining the Red Sox staff due to their "recent reputation for developing pitchers." Boston hasn't been the best at this specific facet of the game in recent years, but new pitching coach Andrew Bailey has received a lot of credit for his work with the team's pitching staff.
