8/01/25 Pirates accomplish insane feat in 1st inning vs. Rockies. The Colorado Rockies have had a season to forget so far, but they continue to add more and more brutal performances to the ledger as the season starts to enter its final phases. Playing against the Pittsburgh Pirates — not exactly known for stacking up the runs — in front of their home fans at Coors Field, the Rockies had a disastrous first inning. Bryan Reynolds opened the scoring for the Pirates with an RBI single in the top of the first inning before Oniel Cruz blew the game open with a monstrous 451-foot grand slam out into center field.

7/30/25 Pirates trio looks to continue uptick against former team in San Francisco. Pittsburgh's Bryan Reynolds will attempt to complete a homecoming hat trick Wednesday afternoon when the visiting Pirates go for a sweep of the San Francisco Giants. The Pirates, who occupy last place in the National League Central, clinched a third consecutive series win with 6-5 and 3-1 wins over the Giants on the first two nights of the three-game set. Pittsburgh, which has won four straight games and seven of its past eight, will look to hang a sixth straight loss on the Giants.

7/29/25 Pirates All-Star Unlikely to Get Traded. Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Bryan Reynolds is one of many on the team that have received trade interest, but he will likely stay in the same uniform when August comes around. Noah Hiles of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette spoke on 93.7 The Fan and said that the Pirates are not going to trade Reynolds, as they won't receive much for him at the trade deadline and that it would act more as moving salary than anything else.

7/10/25 All-Star Outfielder Would Block Trade to Dodgers: Report. The Dodgers polled third, behind only the Atlanta Braves and Boston Red Sox. The Dodgers are well on their way to clinching a postseason berth for the 13th consecutive season, a streak that includes two World Series titles. The longest active run of success in Major League Baseball shows no signs of slowing down. At least one player who will potentially be available at the July 31 trade deadline — and could help the Dodgers — apparently has some reservations about playing in L.A. Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Bryan Reynolds has a limited no-trade clause that allows him to block a deal sending him to six teams annually.

7/07/25 Blue Jays Among Six Teams on No-Trade List of Pirates Two-Time All-Star. The Toronto Blue Jays could try building for both the immediate and the future at this year's trade deadline, but one potential top target can block a trade to them thanks to his contract. Noah Hiles of The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette (subscription required) recently reported that while Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Bryan Reynolds has started to pop up in trade talks, he has a no-trade protection in his contract that could complicate things. Reynolds can block a deal with any of these six teams: the Blue Jays, New York Yankees, New York Mets, Los Angeles Dodgers, San Diego Padres and San Francisco Giants.

7/03/25 MLB rumors: Royals interested in trade for Pirates' 2-time All-Star. While the Kansas City Royals are looking at the trade market to see where the team can improve before the deadline later in the month, there is one player that they are reportedly interested in. As some Royals players could be on the trade block, the latest from Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic states that Pittsburgh Pirates star Bryan Reynolds could be on the team's radar. Rosenthal would recite the switch-hitters that Kansas City has had in the past, one that even made an impact on their 2015 title, and the other that they signed during last offseason, in Anthony Santander. Now, Reynolds is the other that “they are interested” in, though Rosenthal stated that talks “have yet to commence.”

Rymer let slip a suggestion about a Kansas City veteran. “The Royals are already operating with an escalated payroll, but they could shed Salvador Perez and his $22 million salary this winter," Rymer wrote. "They could otherwise be confident that would be buying low on Reynolds, who still has a bunch of red on his Statcast profile.”
