3/08/25	Reports: Chargers set to release RB Gus Edwards. The Los Angeles Chargers will release running back Gus Edwards, multiple media outlets reported on Friday. Edwards spent the first six years of his NFL career with the Baltimore Ravens before joining the Chargers last offseason as a free agent. In Baltimore, Edwards was one of the league's most efficient rushers. He rushed for 700-plus yards and averaged 5.0-plus yards per carry in each of his first three seasons. In 2023, he carried the ball 198 times for 810 yards and 13 touchdowns in his final season for the Ravens. He also had 12 receptions for 180 yards. In 2024, he appeared in 11 games for the Chargers, but saw his statistics decline.
