7/31/25 Rangers outfielder Adolis Garcia's hilarious 4-word statement after fake trade report. The Texas Rangers have had their share of deadline drama over the years, but Adolis Garcia just delivered one of the most unforgettable moments of this season's MLB trade deadline — and it had nothing to do with an actual deal. On Thursday afternoon, just before the trade deadline window closed, Garcia's name unexpectedly lit up social media after a fake trade report claimed he had been dealt to the New York Mets. The bogus post came from MLB insider Mike Rodriguez's account on X (formerly known as Twitter), which he later claimed had been hacked. Dallas Morning News's Evan Grant took to X (formerly known as Twitter) and shared the short, funny exchange he had with the 2023 ALCS MVP.

7/27/25 Rangers Expected To Be Aggressive Ahead of MLB Trade Deadline per Insider. For a majority of the 2025 MLB regular season, the Texas Rangers struggled to find any consistency, hovering right around the .500 mark, most recently, even being under it. It looked as if they would be one of the teams selling ahead of the MLB trade deadline, cashing in on some of the assets they possessed and helping change the future outlook of the franchise on the field. Rumors swirled that right fielder Adolis Garcia could be on the move and several others, such as players on expiring deals in the bullpen or maybe even their excellent starting pitching duo of Nathan Eovaldi and Jacob deGrom could receive some phone calls. Since the calendar flipped to July, the Rangers have looked like a different team.

7/16/25 Moving On From Embattled Star Slugger Would Be Smart Move for Rangers. One interesting name that has reportedly drawn considerable interest in recent days is none other than Texas Rangers' star slugger Adolis Garcia. A core piece of the franchise's legendary World Series championship run from a couple of seasons ago, Garcia has seen his production dip massively since he helped shepherd the Rangers to the mountaintop back in 2023. Things got so bad for Garcia at one point that Texas' skipper, Bruce Bochy, made the decision to move him down to the bottom of the lineup for an extended spell, and even ended up benching him for a three-game stint at the beginning of June in what the team called a "mental break."

7/15/25 Rangers Fan Favorite Outfielder Reportedly Drawing Major Trade Deadline Interest. The Texas Rangers have not had the kind of season that they have hoped for, sitting nearly double digits out of first place and three and a half games out of the Wild Card as well. As things stand going into the All-Star break, Texas is going to have a tough time convincing itself ahead of the trade deadline two weeks from now that they are capable enough of winning to be a buyer this year. While a full-on fire sale may not be on the table either, one prominent player who they have been expected to consider trading during what has been an ugly campaign is apparently drawing some trade interest. According to a report from Francys Romero, former All-Star right fielder Adolis Garcia from "several teams" ahead of the deadline as he has started to turn around what looked like a very ugly campaign over the first few months.

7/06/25 Rangers' Former Playoff Hero Continues To Disappoint This Season. With July underway and temperatures begin to reach triple digits down in the Lone Star State, the Texas Rangers have continued to be one of the most disappointing teams in all of baseball in terms of offensive production. The team's struggles at the plate have been well-documented this year, with seemingly every hitter up and down the once-feared lineup regressing drastically. 7/01/25 You won't believe this, but the Rangers lost in extra innings (again). No, not Friday night – they dropped that one, 7-6, to the Mariners in 12 frames. This time around, on Monday at Globe Life Field, Texas clawed back against the Orioles, again forcing extra innings before their fatigued bullpen gave up a pair of homers in the 10th. Then Adolis Garcia – remember that guy? The streak of four straight extra-inning games tied a club record from 2002, according to MLB.com.

6/25/25 Insider Gives Rangers Star Slugger Shockingly High Chance To Get Traded. The Texas Rangers continue to be a middling team this year. Almost halfway through the regular season, the Rangers sit two games under .500 and 7.5 out of first place in the AL West and three back from the final Wild Card spot. If they aren't able to turn things around, president of baseball operations Chris Young might be forced to go against his preferred way of operating by selling off some of their best trade assets ahead of the July 31 deadline. In his recent piece highlighting the top 50 trade candidates, the insider gave Adolis Garcia a staggering 80% chance of being shipped out of town by the Rangers.

6/22/25 Could Struggling Texas Rangers Slugger Adolis Garcia Be Traded at Deadline?. The Texas Rangers are hovering around the periphery of a crowded race for the three American League wild card spots. Counting the Boston Red Sox, who currently hold the last one, there are seven teams within two games of making it to the postseason, including Texas. The team is in the mix despite an array of disappointing seasons from several of the club's key position players. The pitching staff has been fantastic, and while there is plenty of blame to go around amongst the hitters, outfielder Adolis Garcia has been chief among the issues, slashing .233/.281/.405 and hitting just nine home runs as of June 22.

6/14/25 Padres Linked to $14 Million All-Star Slugger as Trade Deadline Looms. Texas Rangers' Adolis Garcia is the newest of a long list of outfielders linked to the San Diego Padres, who desperately need to patch a hole in left field. The Padres have been trying to fix their issues in left field since the departure of Jurickson Profar in the offseason, an issue which became even more evident after the Padres traded Connor Joe to the Cincinatti Reds and saw Jason Heyward head to the injured list for the second time in a young season.

6/09/25 New Texas Rangers Trade Idea Sends Failed '50 Home Run' Hitter To Dodgers. The Texas Rangers are teetering between possible playoff team and outright dissapointment, but each day seems to be drawing closer to a sell off at the coming MLB trade deadline. If the Rangers do end up selling, Adolis Garcia is someone that should absolutely be moved if they can get at least a prospect of note in return. A potential deal that would be worth doing would be with the Los Angeles Dodgers. In a trade involving Garcia, Texas should target LHP prospect Jakob Wright.

6/05/25 How Adolis Garcia Produces in Return Will Determine His Rangers Future. Texas Rangers slugger Adolis García is done clearing his head. García returned to the starting lineup on Wednesday against the Tampa Bay Rays, one night after he went 1-for-2 in a pinch-hit appearance. Manager Bruce Bochy gave García the Cardinals series off to work on plate approach, getting back to hitting to all fields and reducing his chase rate. It will probably also determine whether García returns in 2026.
