7/29/25 Toronto Blue Jays Pending Free Agent Ties Inner-Circle Hall of Famer in American League History. The Toronto Blue Jays suffered a difficult 11-4 loss on Monday night against the Baltimore Orioles at Camden Yards, marking their second straight defeat. Despite that, the Jays are 63-44 and still in first place in the American League East. Though the team lost, it was another banner day at the plate for shortstop Bo Bichette, who went 4-for-5 with four singles. He has nine hits in his last two games, and just tied Cal Ripken Jr. on an impressive list in American League history. Per @StatsCentre on social media: (Related) Most career 4+ hit performances recorded by a (primary) shortstop at the age of 27 or younger - American League history (1901-present): 24- Alex Rodriguez 19- Harvey Kuenn 18-

7/28/25 Toronto Blue Jays Shortstop Joins Group of Hall of Famers in American League History. The Toronto Blue Jays lost to the Detroit Tigers 10-4 on Sunday afternoon, failing to complete a sweep of the reeling American League Central leaders. Despite that failure, it was a great weekend for Toronto, who is 63-43 on the season and in first place in the American League East. They now have the best record in the AL, surpassing the Tigers, who are 61-46. Bo Bichette put together a big day in the loss, going 5-for-5 with a double and two RBIs. He also tied a group of Hall of Famers in American League history, per @StatsCentre: Most career 5+ hit games as a shortstop - American League history (1901-present): 6- Luis Aparicio 5- Joe Cronin 4- @BlueJays Bo Bichette (Via recording a double and

7/25/25 Blue Jays' perfect Jhoan Duran trade offer to Twins. As the 2025 MLB trade deadline approaches, the Toronto Blue Jays are primed for a bold move. With a roster still hunting for reliable late-game leverage and a front office facing pressure to maximize the closing championship window of Vlad Guerrero Jr. and Bo Bichette, the Blue Jays have set their sights on one of the most coveted arms on the market,  Minnesota Twins closer Jhoan Duran. Duran, just 27 and under team control through 2027, features one of the most electrifying power arsenals in the game— routinely hitting triple digits and pairing it with a devastating splinker.

7/23/25 Bichette's two-run shot caps wild Blue Jays' win. TORONTO – Bo Bichette's two-run homer capped off a wild victory as the Toronto Blue Jays held off the New York Yankees 8-4 on Wednesday. The victory tied the Blue Jays with the Houston Astros for the best record in the American League. Myles Straw's double drove in Ernie Clement for the go-ahead run in the sixth inning as Toronto (60-42) won the three-game series and locked up the tiebreaker between the two AL East rivals. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. had an RBI double in the fourth, then drove in two more runs in the fifth on a fielder's choice, as the Blue Jays and Yankees traded leads. Clement's basehit in the fourth also scored a runner and pinch-hitter Will Wagner plated Straw in the sixth. Chris

7/18/25 Bo Bichette credits Blue Jays depth after Giants takedown. The Toronto Blue Jays picked up right where they left off following the All-Star break, cruising to a 4-0 victory over the San Francisco Giants on Friday night. For Bo Bichette, the team's star shortstop, the win was more than just another tally in the win column — it was a testament to the club's depth and culture. “We did some really great things, built a good culture, I would say, where winning is first,” Bichette said postgame. The offense came alive in the second inning, as Joey Loperfido and Nathan Lukes each delivered RBI singles and Will Wagner ripped a two-run double, giving the Jays an early 4-0 lead that held up the rest of the way. Chris Bassitt did the rest on the mound, navigating around 10 hits over 6 1/3 scoreless innings and using a pair of key double plays to limit San Francisco's scoring chances.

7/14/25 Blue Jays Add Two Talented Players in Day 1 of 2025 MLB Draft. With the All-Star break now here for the Toronto Blue Jays, it has been a fantastic first half. The Blue Jays kicked things off in the first round with their selection of shortstop JoJo Parker with the eighth overall pick. As a talented high school shortstop, he likely won't be making his way to the Majors anytime soon, but could be the long-term solution at the position for Toronto with Bo Bichette set to hit free agency this winter. The front office wasn't overly busy on Day 1 with just two picks to open things up, but they still made the most of that with two solid selections.

7/13/25 [Ottawa Sun] - Kevin Gausman and Blue Jays lack sharpness and a killer instinct in loss to A's. A Leo Jimenez homer, his first of the season, and two Bo Bichette doubles accounted for most of the Jays' offence in Saturday's 4-3 loss.

7/08/25 Blue Jays' Bo Bichette gets $182 million contract update after engagement news. Bo Bichette is smiling. "Bichette has even occasionally been spotted smiling in the dugout," DiManno writes. An engagement and a pending wedding that will prevent Bichette from seeking out a trade? Seems like a good deal for Toronto.

7/07/25 Toronto Blue Jays star Bo Bichette quietly got engaged. Bo Bichette has locked in a lifelong contract — it's just not with the Toronto Blue Jays. The Toronto Star's Rosie DiManno revealed in an article on Monday that Bichette got engaged to his girlfriend, Alexis, in May, with a wedding planned for next January. While Bichette, 27, is known for his flashy on-field play, it doesn't always seem to translate to his off-field personality, as he's generally quite soft-spoken in interviews. There's little that's known about the couple otherwise, as Bichette is not currently active on social media.

6/30/25 Blue Jays Star Scratched From Lineup with Knee Issue Ahead of Huge Yankees Series. The Toronto Blue Jays are just hours away from the start of their biggest series of the season to this point in a four-game set against the division leading New York Yankees. Hosting the Yankees for a long series while trailing by just three games in the American League East and playing some very good baseball, the Blue Jays are confident they can turn this race on its head with a strong week in Toronto. According to an update from the team two hours after dropping their lineup, star shortstop Bo Bichette has been scratched from the order due to what they describe as "right knee discomfort."

6/30/25 Yankees urged to replace Anthony Volpe with rival All-Star. The New York Yankees are not likely to trade for a shortstop at the trade deadline. Volpe won a Gold Glove as a rookie, but his offense has yet to develop into anything the Yankees can rely on. The upcoming free agent class has one very interesting option, and that is Bo Bichette of the Toronto Blue Jays. The Blue Jays may not be able to pay Bichette after signing Vladimir Guerrero Jr. to a $500 million deal.

6/24/25 Blue Jays Trade Deadline Strategy for Fan Favorite Hinges on Coming Weeks. The Toronto Blue Jays are going to have some very tough calls to make over the next month or so, and the last month or so has made it even more complicated. Blue Jays shortstop Bo Bichette is going to be a free agent after this season, and while there have been a ton of rumors surrounding a potential extension, there have been just as many if not more rumors surrounding a possible trade. Should he be traded, he would command a sizable return and give Toronto something to show for one of their home grown stars if he prices himself out in free agency. If he stays, the Blue Jays are going to have a better chance to win now.
