7/05/25 New York Mets re-sign lefty reliever to minor league deal. The New York Mets have reunited with another left-handed reliever. On Friday evening, The Athletic's Will Sammon reported that the Mets had signed Colin Poche to a minor league deal. The veteran southpaw was on the club's major league roster less than a week ago but was designated for assignment before electing free agency. Poche, 31, has pitched for three teams in parts of five major league seasons.

6/09/25 Washington Nationals Veteran Pitcher Could Be MLB Trade Deadline Target if Healthy. The Washington Nationals have been a scrappy team during the 2025 MLB regular season, overcoming some obstacles to remain competitive. All three relief pitchers who were signed in the offseason, Colin Poche, Lucas Sims and Jorge Loepz, have been released for underwhelming production on the mound.

6/05/25 Nationals Will Get Major Boost Once This Star Reliever Returns. Coming into the season, the Washington Nationals tried to make some tweaks to their bullpen after a showing in 2024 where that unit finished 21st in Major League Baseball with a 4.14 ERA. Unfortunately, the other arms the Nationals added this past winter to reshape the relief staff turned out to be a disaster, with Colin Poche and Lucas Sims getting designated for assignment and released based on how poor they were to begin the year. Washington has not stopped tinkering since they still own the second-worst bullpen ERA in the MLB despite that unit playing better as of late.

5/11/25 MACK - Poche, Senga, Wenninger, Chain Position Analysis - Relief Pitching (1 OF 3). The Mets signed LHRP Colin Poche and assigned him to AAA-Syracuse. Jack Wenninger (NYM) has been on a tear this season with a 34.7 K% and his changeup is a huge reason why. Its site sits in the mid 80s and its late diving action and vertical separation from his fastball push it to plus-plus territory.

5/08/25 Mets add lefty reliever depth to address bullpen need. The Mets have added some non-roster reinforcement to their bullpen. The team announced on Wednesday that they have signed left-hander Colin Poche to a minor league deal. Poche, 31, signed a minor league deal with the Nationals and made the Opening Day roster, but struggled in his big league appearances. Over 8 1/3 innings, he posted a 11.42 ERA and walked 12 batters.

11/22/24 Rays non-tender pitchers Colin Poche, Tyler Alexander, 2 others. ST. PETERSBURG — Baseball operations president Erik Neander talked a lot Friday night about how lefty pitchers Colin Poche and Tyler Alexander have helped the Rays and could continue to do so. But he also made it clear the team wasn’t sure how either would fit on the 2025 roster, especially given their projected arbitration salaries. Deciding they would be better off moving on without them, ...

9/16/24 Tampa Bay Rays Welcome Veteran Reliever Colin Poche Back From Injured List. The Tampa Bay Rays have reinstated left-handed pitcher Colin Poche from the 15-day injured list, the team announced Monday afternoon. While he went on a minor league rehab assignment back in early June, he did not do so prior to his latest activation on Monday. To make room for Poche on the active 28-man roster, the Rays optioned right-handed pitcher Cole Sulser to Triple-A Durham.

10/05/23 Are playoff losses dinging Rays' pristine rep?. Every season, from April to September, the Tampa Bay Rays lead the majors in adjectives. As the Rays made another premature exit in a half-empty stadium after losing 7-1 to the Texas Rangers in Game 2 of the American League Wild Card Series on Wednesday afternoon, you could almost see the question marks trailing close behind. “It's just difficult to grind it out for 162 games and basically be judged for the last 48 hours,” said reliever Colin Poche, who went 12-3 with a 2.23 ERA in the regular season. A shiny regular-season record does not guarantee postseason success, mind you, but it's usually a pretty good indicator.

4/15/23 Tampa Bay Rays' historic start ends in loss to Blue Jays. Waiting two weeks to experience their first loss of the season didn't make defeat any easier for the Tampa Bay Rays. The Rays lost their first game following a record-tying 13-0 start as Colin Poche forced in two runs with bases-loaded walks and second baseman Brandon Lowe made a key error in a four-run fifth inning that lifted the Toronto Blue Jays to a 6-3 win on Friday night. "Losing always sucks," Lowe said. George Springer hit a leadoff home run, and Bo Bichette had five hits and an RBI as the Blue Jays denied Tampa Bay's bid to establish Major League Baseball's post-1900 record for consecutive wins at a season's start.

2/19/23 Colin Poche ‘a little shocked’ to lose arbitration case, takes issue with panel not Rays. LAKE BUENA VISTA — Colin Poche had no issue with the way the Rays presented their ultimately successful arbitration case against him, noting they were “above board” and didn’t “take any low blows,” sticking to the “baseball facts.” Certainly not like ace Corbin Burnes, who said his relationship with the Brewers was “definitely hurt” by their arguments. But Poche was quite unhappy with the ...

2/07/23 Colin Poche, Rays go to arbitration just $125,000 apart. Reliever Colin Poche went to salary arbitration with the Tampa Bay Rays on Tuesday with the sides just $125,000 apart. The gap between the $1.3 million the pitcher asked for and the $1,175,000 the team offered was the smallest among the 33 players who exchanged proposed arbitration figures last month. The case was heard by John Woods, Jeanne Vonhof and Walt De Treux, who will hold their decision until later this month. A 29-year-old left-hander, Poche had Tommy John surgery on July 29, 2020, and returned to the major leagues last April 22 after six appearances at Triple-A Durham.
