7/31/25 Nationals Trade Outfielder Alex Call to Dodgers in Deadline Deal. The Washington Nationals have been active sellers as expected at the trade deadline, and while they might not move their All-Star pitcher MacKenzie Gore, they have been dealing some other veterans. The 30-year-old is under team control for the next several seasons, which could be why he was garnering quite a bit of interest on the trade market as a solid right-handed bat.

7/30/25 Cubs Pursuit of MacKenzie Gore Slows As Trade Discussions Hit Snag. The Chicago Cubs are in a heated battle with the Milwaukee Brewers for the NL Central and with the trade deadline approaching they are trying to address their biggest weakness, the depth of their starting pitchers. Jesse Rogers from ESPN had an inside look on some of the stars that they are looking to acquire before tomorrow and that includes the Washington Nationals' MacKenzie Gore. Gore has been arguably the best starter for the Nationals this season even though he is 4-10 in his 21 games. Washington is appearing unwilling to make a deal unless the Cubs part with third baseman, Matt Shaw, which was reported on by Kiley McDaniel.

7/27/25 Blockbuster MLB Trade Proposal Sends Nationals Ace MacKenzie Gore to Mariners. The Washington Nationals are not rushing to trade MacKenzie Gore this year, but teams are interested and a blockbuster trade proposal could possibly get the job done. One team that appears to be ready to compete, has already been active in the market and has the players to get a deal done is the Seattle Mariners. Bleacher Report's Zachary D. Rymer recently listed the Mariners as a top trade destination for Gore, given their pitching inconsistencies and injury issues this season. Adding a player like Gore not only returns their rotation to elite status for this season, but would also allow a few years of help at a solid price as he is under team control through 2027.
