With his 22nd start ahead of him, Tampa Bay Rays All-Star right-hander Drew Rasmussen is dealing with mixed emotions. The MLB Trade Deadline has come and gone, and with it, the loss of teammates Danny Jansen and Zack Littell. On Monday, the Rays traded Jansen to the Milwaukee Brewers.

7/22/25 Rays edge White Sox 4-3, snap Chicago's 5-game winning streak. José Caballero had two hits and two RBIs and the Tampa Bay Rays scored all their runs in the second inning before holding on for a 4-3 win over the Chicago White Sox on Tuesday night. The loss was Chicago's first since the All-Star break and snapped a season-high five-game winning streak. Tampa Bay's Drew Rasmussen allowed two runs on three hits over four innings, walking one and striking out five. It was just the fifth time Rasmussen didn't complete five innings, so Edwin Uceta (7-2) picked up the win with two scoreless innings of relief.

7/14/25 Rays' Drew Rasmussen Relishes First All-Star Selection After Difficult Journey. When Tampa Bay Rays right-hander Drew Rasmussen took the mound in Fenway Park against the Boston Red Sox on Friday night, he did so as an All-Star for the first time in his career. Before Friday's game, Rasmussen was announced as a reserve pitcher for the American League roster, replacing Los Angeles Angels left-hander Yusei Kikuchi. Through 19 starts this season, Rasmussen is 7-5 with a 2.86 ERA. It's an emotional moment for Rasmussen and those who have been a part of his baseball journey.

The Rays got great pitching and defense, which is no surprise, and Drew Rasmussen pitched five scoreless innings on just 62 pitches, barely breaking a sweat. In the second, Christopher Morel reached on an infield single with one out, and then Josh Lowe followed with a single to right field, sending Morel to third. Rasmussen now has the longest active scoreless streak in the MLB. The Rays' ace gave up just one hit in his five innings which dropped his ERA to 2.14 this season, ninth-lowest in the majors.
