7/30/25 Braves' Harris II Named NL Player of the Week. Michael Harris, II has been a polarizing figure for the Atlanta Braves this year. Harris batted 11-for-23, slashing .478/.500/1.000 with two doubles, triples, and homers, all while playing stellar defense. When asked about his sudden success, Harris seemed to adopt the “better late than never” mentality. “The only thing I can say is I find something mechanically or something that starts to get me in a groove towards the middle of the season to help me finish the season pretty well,” Harris said, via MLB.com's Mark Bowman.

7/28/25 MLB Mock Trade: Braves Deal Michael Harris II To Detroit Tigers For Haul Of Prospects. The Atlanta Braves are in the midst of a lost season as they approach the July 31 MLB Trade Deadline. One of the reasons they have struggled this season is that former Rookie of the Year and star center fielder Michael Harris II has struggled at the plate. Harris has had a hit in 11 of his last 12 games with 18 hits and three home runs during that span. Atlanta could decide to move him while he's hot with their chances for success this season over.

7/27/25 Battery Power Braves Player of the Week: Michael Harris II. Atlanta’s center fielder is surging at the plate despite the team sinking to new lows.

7/26/25 Braves' star needed a single for the cycle — but he hit for a tricycle instead. Michael Harris II hasn't had a great season. Harris, before the ninth inning, had hit a double, a triple and a home run. Harris scored the go-ahead run (although the Braves' season continued on its course with a blown lead and loss in 10 innings). Hopefully, this is a jumpstart for Harris, who looked like a rising star not too long ago.

7/23/25 Braves Michael Harris II Showing New Life Since Changing Batting Stance. The Atlanta Braves might have a glimmer of hope for one of their slumping hitters to turn his season around. Michael Harris II has been working on his stance and mechanics to get on a run we haven't seen from him all season. Manager Brian Snitker noticed that how Harris looks standing in the batter's box is an improvement. The two “rockets” that Snitker is referring to from Monday night are the two balls that came off the bat at over 100 miles per hour.

7/22/25 MLB Mock Blockbuster Trade: Atlanta Braves Deal Michael Harris II to Giants. It wasn't too long ago that Atlanta Braves center fielder Michael Harris II was a Rookie of the Year winner. Of course, it also wasn't long ago that the Braves were a 100-win team and serious annual contender to win the World Series. A lot has changed for Harris and the Braves during 2025. Atlanta still has a positive run differential, but they sit 11 games below .500 entering play on July 22.

7/20/25 Padres get a bittersweet update on availability of Braves' Sean Murphy. The San Diego Padres are one of the few teams in dire need of catcher help ahead of the MLB trade deadline. With the lack of options on the market, the Padres could be in a tricky situation, getting stuck with their current catcher room. "Atlanta is expected to listen to trade offers for second baseman Ozzie Albies," Nightengale writes, "center fielder Michael Harris and catcher Sean Murphy, but not until this winter."

7/19/25 Braves Michael Harris II Adjusting Stance in Effort to Correct Course. Michael Harris II is in the pursuit of turning his season around, and the evidence of the effort is noticeable just from when he steps up to bat for the Atlanta Braves. Brady Penn from 680 The Fan posted three different photos of Harris' stance. One was from Friday night, another from two weeks ago and a third from his rookie season in 2022. Compared to two weeks ago, Harris has brought his hands up by his ears compared to down by the letters on the jersey.

7/12/25 Predicting Braves' next big trade before deadline. The Atlanta Braves are running out of “ifs” and “buts.” Luck has not turned, injury misfortune continues to decimate the pitching staff, Michael Harris II and Ozzie Albies are regressing beyond comprehension and veteran closer Raisel Iglesias had a rough start to the campaign. This year, the Braves Way has not been nearly enough. Underachieving stars are far from the only reason why Brian Snitker's squad is 41-52 and 10 games out of a National League Wild Card slot.

7/07/25 The Sudden Fall of Braves Center Fielder Michael Harris II. After last season, it looked like Atlanta Braves center fielder Michael Harris II could be in for a breakout season. In his final 43 games of the season, he batted .281 with an .823 OPS with 11 home runs and 28 RBIs. Over 162 games, he was on pace to hit 41 home runs and drive in 105 runs.

7/02/25 Braves' Michael Harris II Shows Positive Signs in Return From Absence. The Atlanta Braves suffered their third shutout loss in five games Tuesday night. It was also the third different team -- the Los Angeles Angels -- to shut down the Braves offense. With the Braves inching back closer to the bottom of the National League East (Tuesday, they fell into fourth place) and the offense significantly slumping again, the positives for the Braves lineup are few and far between. Atlanta, though, may have finally received some positive signs from center fielder Michael Harris II.

6/30/25 Braves hitting coach downplays dreadful Michael Harris II slump. Michael Harris II is just three years removed from winning the National League Rookie of the Year award with the Atlanta Braves, and just last year, he hit a respectable .264 with an OPS right around the league average. “I think if he can hold his posture, clean up a few things mechanically and then get back to getting balls in the strike zone, I think this thing can turn around in a heartbeat,” Hyers said, via Mark Bowman's Braves Beat newsletter.

6/29/25 The Good, The Bad, & The Braves: The case for Michael Harris II getting back in the lineup ASAP. The Atlanta Braves lost 2-1 to the Philadelphia Phillies on Sunday. Michael Harris II watched the entire game from the Braves' dugout. Harris had the day off, in fact, he had the last two days off. Michael Harris II was hitless in his last 19 at-bats following the Braves' 13-0 loss to National League East rivals, the Philadelphia Phillies, on Friday, June 27.

6/28/25 Social Media Reacts to Michael Harris II Not in Saturday's Lineup vs. Phillies. For just the second time this season, Atlanta Braves center fielder Michael Harris II is not in the team's starting lineup Saturday. The Braves will host the Philadelphia Phillies in the second contest of a three-game set this weekend at Truist Park. Instead of Harris, the Braves are starting Eli White in center field.

6/25/25 Braves Harris Back in Lineup Day After Hit By Pitch. The best-case scenario for the Atlanta Braves and Michael Harris II fell into place. The decision comes a day after he exited the game early due to a hit by pitch on the elbow. Harris will bat eighth in the lineup. Harris was removed from the game in the bottom of the sixth when the Braves took the field.

6/24/25 Braves Harris Avoids Worst-Case Scenario With Hit By Pitch. All appears to be fine with Atlanta Braves center fielder Michael Harris II after he was hit by a pitch in Tuesday's 7-4 win over the New York Mets. According to MLB.com's Mark Bowman, the pitch didn't hit any bones around Harris' elbow. Bowman added that Harris didn't seem concerned about his injury as he left the clubhouse. Harris was removed from the game in the bottom of the sixth when the Braves took the field.
