7/23/25 Strider Sounds Off On Another Losing Braves Homestand, His Own Pitching. What looked like another solid day from Spencer Strider through four innings fizzled out as the Giants got their bats going and beat the Atlanta Braves 9-3. The Braves come out of the All-Star Break and drop back-to-back series to have a losing homestand. “Yeah, I mean, it's embarrassing, honestly,” Strider said after the game. Strider said after the game that it might be time to look in the mirror, especially him.

7/21/25 MLB Mock Trade: Atlanta Braves Deal Ozzie Albies, Raisel Iglesias To Seattle Mariners. After blowing their fourth five-plus run lead on the season to the Yankees this weekend, then going on to lose the series, any hope of a miracle second-half resurgence coming off the all-star break for the Atlanta Braves quickly went up in smoke. This has been a nightmarish season for the Braves, who have been plagued by injuries, subpar play, and questionable coaching all season. The last man standing is Spencer Strider, who is still working his way back after missing a year and getting a late start to this season due to a second UCL surgery. Chris Sale, Reynaldo Lopez, Spencer Schwellenbach, and AJ Smith-Shawver have all landed on the 60-Day IL and are out indefinitely.

Read our editorial standards for more information. The Yankees won't have it easy coming out of the All-Star break. In their first game of the second half, the Bombers will draw Braves ace Spencer Strider, who appears to be figuring it out post-injury. Strider missed the first few weeks of the season while he was rehabbing from elbow surgery and then was sent back to the shelf for a month with a hamstring injury, making Friday's game just his 12th start of the season. After a shaky first few outings, the right-handed flamethrower is looking more like a Cy Young-caliber pitcher since a

7/06/25 Charlie Morton, beloved by Atlanta Braves' organization, shines for Orioles. Spencer Strider sat on the postgame podium Friday night with his arms crossed and eyes down. The Braves right-hander was clearly frustrated with his performance — allowing three runs through six innings against the Orioles — but the 26-year-old's face lit up at the mention of one person: Charlie Morton. “He's the best guy I know,” Strider said of his good friend and former teammate. You would be hard-pressed to find someone in the Braves' clubhouse who does not speak glowingly of Morton, who spent four seasons with the team from 2021-24 (in his second stint) before signing with the Orioles in free agency.

7/03/25 Braves Sorting Through Rotation Options Ahead of Orioles Series. The Atlanta Braves continue to evaluate options for the starting rotation for the upcoming Baltimore Orioles series. Spencer Strider has things covered for Friday, and Grant Holmes is good to go for Sunday. Spencer Schwellenbach found himself on the injured list Wednesday afternoon with a right elbow fracture, creating what Brian Snitker called an "up in the air type deal." The Braves manager said that going with a bullpen day was a high possibility.

6/30/25 Braves trade pitch brings them veteran workhorse to aid decimated rotation. Despite sitting 10.5 games back in the National League East and eight games back of the third Wild Card, the Atlanta Braves aren't the obvious sellers that their 38-45 record would indicate. With a roster stacked with former All-Stars, the Braves certainly have the talent to climb out of the hole they have dug themselves, especially with Ronald Acuña Jr. and Spencer Strider back in the mix. Pending a total collapse in the next month, a soft buy may be an effective strategy for the Braves. This would mean that they wouldn't be in the mix for the trade deadline's best prizes, such as Jarren Duran or Seth Lugo, but instead look to fill out their roster with low-cost additions.

There is no cure, but treatment can buy time until a patient receives a heart transplant. Owen was able to meet Atlanta Braves right-hander Spencer Strider, who chatted with him and signed his baseball card.
