7/15/25 | Dodgers, Twins complete trade sending 28-year-old hurler to Minnesota. The Los Angeles Dodgers officially said goodbye to a former member of their 2025 pitching staff on Monday. Twenty-eight-year-old Noah Davis spent most of the season in the minors for LA, after he was acquired in a trade with the Boston Red Sox for cash considerations on Opening Day. But just before the All-Star break, Davis found himself designated for assignment. That wasn't entirely surprising, as Davis had a 19.50 ERA in his five appearances for the Dodgers at the major league level. But evidently, Davis wasn't likely to clear waivers and return to Triple-A for the Dodgers, because he got traded instead. On Monday, Davis was officially traded to the Minnesota Twins for cash considerations. Source: https://www.sportingnews.com/us/mlb/los-angeles-do... |
7/15/25 | Report: Ex-Red Sox Pitcher Traded From Dodgers To Twins. Former Boston Red Sox pitcher Noah Davis is packing his bags — again. “Twins have acquired RHP Noah Davis from the Dodgers for cash, and assigned him to AAA St. Paul,” The Minnesota Star Tribune's Paul Miller reported Monday . “In 57 1/3 career innings for Rockies and Dodgers, Davis has struck out 51, but also walked 28, and has a career 8.95 ERA.” “Noah Davis' final appearance for the Dodgers: He allowed 10 runs in the sixth inning vs Astros on July 4, including a grand slam to Victor Caratini and a 3-run HR to Jose Altuve,” Miller added. Red Sox fans may remember Davis' brief stay in the Boston organization. The 28-year-old signed a minor-league deal with the Red Sox in late December. 7/05/25 | Dodgers option pitcher after disastrous outing vs. Astros. The Los Angeles Dodgers have optioned right-hander Noah Davis to Triple-A Oklahoma City following a historically poor performance during Friday night's 18-1 loss to the Houston Astros. In a corresponding move, the team recalled right-hander Jack Little to bolster their bullpen ahead of Saturday's matchup. Davis, 28, endured a disastrous relief outing, surrendering 10 earned runs on six hits, including two home runs, in just 1.1 innings pitched. The sixth inning alone proved catastrophic, as Victor Caratini launched a grand slam and Jose Altuve hit his second homer of the night. Source: https://clutchpoints.com/mlb/los-angeles-dodgers/d... |
6/30/25 | Former Angels Reliever Shockingly Cut By Dodgers. The Los Angeles Dodgers designated former Los Angeles Angels relief pitcher Luis Garcia for assignment to make room for right-handed pitcher Noah Davis on Sunday. The Angels received Garcia after the 2018 season from the Philadelphia Phillies, and kept him through 2019. After 2019, Garcia declared free agency and signed a minor league contract with the Texas Rangers. Source: https://www.si.com/mlb/angels/angels-news/former-a... |
4/28/25 | Dodgers All-Star Appears Headed to Injured List Based on Latest Update From Stadium. Noah Davis has a locker in the Los Angeles Dodgers' clubhouse, per the Los Angeles Times' Jack Harris. Since Davis was recently optioned to Triple-A, the only way he would be eligible to rejoin the team is if a player were moved to the injured list. All-Star Tyler Glasnow hasn't officially been announced on the IL, but the fact that Davis is back in the clubhouse seems to hint that an IL move is imminent. 12/21/24 | Red Sox Make Minor-League Addition Via Cool Announcement. The Red Sox typically don't make anything out of offseason minor-league additions, usually leaving them unannounced until shortly before spring training. It's not like the player can't let people know, though. Noah Davis, for example, announced that he'd be joining the organization on Friday, per his social media. Boston might not have to issue him any gear, either, as the announcement was made alongside a photo of him rocking a similar uniform as a little leaguer. Davis, 27, has some added familiarity with the organization, previously working at Driveline Baseball — the data-driven training site founded by Red Sox special advisor Kyle Boddy. And after that unfortunate game came unfortunate news: starter Noah Davis, who previously held a record-low 0.93 ERA, was placed on the IL with right elbow inflammation. He's the second Rockies' starter to go down with the injury this season... and we're only 29 games in. But anyways, Austin Gomber will pitch for the Rockies this afternoon as they look to avoid the sweep. In his last outing against Cleveland, Gomber tossed five shutout innings, allowing three hits, three walks and three strikeouts. 4/22/23 | Colorado Rockies game no. 22 thread: Kyle Freeland vs. Christopher Sánchez. The Colorado Rockies were on the verge of a winning streak on Friday, holding a one-run lead into the seventh inning after another strong start from Noah Davis. But the bullpen buckled, and the Philadelphia Phillies prevailed to tie-up the series and bring us to the rubber match on Saturday. The Rockies (6-15) will hand the ball to Kyle Freeland, who is looking to rebound from a painful last start against the Pittsburgh Pirates where he surrendered nine runs (seven earned) on eight hits in just 2 2 / 3 innings. Even with that bloated start, Freeland still sits atop the team's bWAR leaderboard this season and comes into this outing with a strong 3.80 ERA over 21 1 / 3 IP. In the end, however, the Rockies tumbled, again, falling 1-0 for their fifth consecutive loss and getting swept by the Mariners in the three-game series. Colorado's silver lining was Davis' five scoreless innings. “There were some positives to draw on there, for sure,” manager Bud Black told reporters in Seattle.
