7/31/25 | REPORT: Marlins Slugger 'High' On Astros Trade Radar. With just a few hours left before the MLB trade deadline is officially here, the Miami Marlins still haven't made too many moves, especially with them viewed as one of the marquee sellers. However, that could all change soon. The Houston Astros are looking for an upgrade in their outfield, specifically in left field, and Mark Feinsand of MLB.com is reporting that Marlins slugger Jesus Sanchez is “high on Houston's radar.” The Astros were interested in Ryan O'Hearn in their search for a bat, but according to a source, Jesus Sanchez of the Marlins is now high on Houston's radar. As I reported a little while ago, O'Hearn's price tag remains high with two hours to go until the Deadline. — Mark Feinsand Source: https://www.si.com/mlb/marlins/report-miami-marlin... |
7/30/25 | Astros Projected to Swing Marlins Trade That Would Change Everything. The countdown has begun for the Miami Marlins, who have just one day remaining to move players before the MLB trade deadline. In the process, one team has emerged as a top potential trade partner for the Marlins: the Houston Astros. The Astros have already been linked to Miami outfielder Jesus Sanchez, but they would surely love to add one of the Marlins' pitchers, as well. While Sandy Alcantara is the bigger name and appears to be coming out of his slumber based on his last couple of starts, Edward Cabrera has been the better pitcher — by far — in 2025. 7/29/25 | REPORT: Astros Pursuing Significant Trade Deadline Move With Marlins. The Miami Marlins appear to be somewhat open for business ahead of the MLB trade deadline, and the Houston Astros may be knocking on their door. Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic has reported that the Astros are making a pursuit of Marlins outfielder Jesus Sanchez, who has long been regarded as one of the most likely Miami players to potentially be dealt before July 31. The 27-year-old is under club control through 2027, so the Marlins will probably ask for a decent haul in exchange for the former top prospect who has never quite lived up to expectations in South Beach. Miami initially acquired Sanchez in a trade with the Tampa Bay Rays back in 2019. Source: https://www.si.com/mlb/marlins/report-houston-astr... |
7/25/25 | Rangers Named in Potential MLB Trade Deadline Deal With Marlins. The Miami Marlins have been on quite the run lately, having gone 23-12 over their last 35 games to miraculously insert themselves into the National League Wild Card picture. Perhaps one of Miami's most obvious trade candidates between now and July 31 is outfielder Jesus Sanchez, who is slashing .262/.326/.423 with nine home runs and 34 RBI over 316 plate appearances this season. The Athletic listed Sanchez among its most likely players to be dealt on its MLB trade deadline big board, and it named the Rangers as a potential suitor for the 27-year-old. Texas could definitely use an offensive boost, and it's fair to note that Sanchez's OPS (.749) is higher than all three of the Rangers' starting outfielders. 7/19/25 | 3 Possible Trade Destination for Miami Marlins Outfielder. The Miami Marlins may be one of the hottest teams in baseball right now, but they're still in a prime position to be sellers at this year's trade deadline. One player who could possibly be on the move in the next two weeks is outfielder Jesus Sanchez. Here are three potential trade destinations for Miami's slugger. A.J. Preller rarely lets a trade deadline pass without making a substantial move. Source: https://www.si.com/mlb/marlins/3-possible-trade-de... |
7/11/25 | Miami Marlins' Surging Prospect Makes One Trade Very Obvious. The Miami Marlins have decent collection of players that could potentially be moved before the MLB trade deadline, and some trade candidates are more obvious than others. Perhaps the most clear trade piece for the Marlins is outfielder Jesus Sanchez, a streaky hitter who has not quite developed in the way Miami had hoped. The 27-year-old is under team control through 2027, so the Marlins technically don't have to move him now, but the rapid development of one prospect should force Miami's hand. 7/04/25 | Miami Marlins Slugger Reaches Major Career Milestone. Jesus Sanchez has become one of the more experienced and longest-tenured players on the Miami Marlins' roster. Sanchez was once again in Miami's starting lineup on Friday evening and reached an incredible career milestone in the Marlins' matchup against the Milwaukee Brewers. In the fifth inning, Sanchez hit a triple, giving him his 400th career hit at the big league level. Source: https://www.si.com/mlb/marlins/miami-marlins-jesus... |
7/01/25 | Guardians Named Potential Trade Destination for Marlins Slugger. The Cleveland Guardians must upgrade their MLB roster if they want to reach the playoffs for the third time in the last four seasons. The position the front office needs to address the most is obviously the outfield, and there's one possible trade candidate that would be a perfect fit for the Guardians: Jesus Sanchez. R.J. Anderson of CBS Sports even named the Guardians as a potential landing spot for the Miami Marlins slugger. Source: https://www.si.com/mlb/guardians/news/cleveland-gu... |
6/28/25 | Miami Marlins Slugger Expected to be Traded to Startling Team. The general consensus is that even if the Miami Marlins don't have another fire sale, they will at least be making some moves before MLB trade deadline. One of the Marlins players most expected to be dealt is outfielder Jesus Sanchez, who is under team control through 2027 but hasn't really lived up to his lofty billing in South Beach. Basically, Miami can afford to trade him now, and given that he isn't slated to hit free agency for another couple of years, the Marlins may be able to extract some decent value out of him. Well, Nick Selbe of Sports Illustrated has revealed an interesting prediction for Sanchez, as he feels that the 27-year-old will be traded to the Cincinnati Reds between now and July 31. 6/18/25 | Miami Marlins Slugger Named 'Prime' Trade Candidate. With where the Miami Marlins are in their rebuild, they should be willing to trade away any player that can fetch a solid prospect return. One of those players who should be on the trade block leading up to the trade deadline is outfield slugger Jesus Sanchez. In fact, MLB.com's Mark Feinsand even named Sanchez one of his 14 "prime trade candidates." Sánchez – a hard-hitting right fielder with a strong arm – may be one of the better names available. 6/14/25 | Nationals' ninth-inning rally falls short in loss to Miami. Jesus Sanchez had two hits including a home run, Calvin Faucher retired James Wood with the bases loaded and two outs in the ninth and the visiting Miami Marlins beat the Washington Nationals 4-3 on Saturday. Liam Hicks and Dane Myers had two hits each for Miami, which has won three of its last four. Source: https://www.reuters.com/sports/baseball/nationals-... |
6/01/25 | Runs at a premium when Giants, Marlins square off. The San Francisco Giants will be looking to shake a clutch-hitting slump against a pitcher who has been tough so far this season when they go for a series win over the host Miami Marlins on Sunday afternoon. A total of just three runs have been scored in the first two games of the set, with the Marlins rebounding from a 2-0 defeat on Friday with a 1-0 victory in the rematch on Saturday. Miami has mustered up a total of just six hits -- two by Jesus Sanchez in off-the-bench roles. The Marlins, however, have gotten timely pitching from six players in the first two games of the series and two lead-saving defensive gems on Saturday in limiting the Giants to just two runs despite 19 hits over two games.
