Ray Montgomery sparks benches-clearing incident as Angels keep deflating Rangers Is this guy something or what? By Evan Roberts | Share on Facebook Share on X Copy Article Texas Rangers v Los Angeles Angels | Jayne Kamin-Oncea/GettyImages Share on Facebook Share on X Share on Reddit Copy Article The red-hot Texas Rangers approached a crucial series before the MLB trade deadline against the Los Angeles Angels, with Jacob deGrom lined up to start against Jack Kochanowicz to kick it off. The Rangers had won six straight and 19 of their last 30, were tied for the final American League wild card spot and looked prime to buy before July 31st. However, it was their division rival and interim manager

7/29/25 The Angels, once again, refuse to quit on the 2025 season. After the Angels split a series against the Seattle Mariners, the team seemed destined for another “not quite good enough, let's sell” deadline. Monday night was supposed to be the nail in the 2025 Angels' coffin. Jack Kochanowicz was called back up the big league rotation to go head-to-head against Jacob deGrom, who is once again in the midst of a Cy Young caliber season.

The Los Angeles Angels are set to start right-handed pitcher Jack Kochanowicz after he was sent down to the minor leagues only a couple of weeks ago, according to Jeff Fletcher of the Orange County Register. 7/18/25 Angels' historic streak comes to an end as the second half of the season begins. Angels' historic streak comes to an end as the second half of the season begins It was (kind of) fun while it lasted By Evan Roberts | Share on Facebook Share on X Copy Article Texas Rangers v Los Angeles Angels | Eric Thayer/GettyImages Share on Facebook Share on X Share on Reddit Copy Article Jack Kochanowicz's regression this season has been a massive blow to the Angels organization. Of the 24-year-old's first nine starts of the season, he impressively produced four quality ones which was highlighted by 6.2 innings of one-run ball against the Los Angeles Dodgers . Then came ten straight dismal starts which was punctuated by 2.2 innings of eight-run ball against the Texas Rangers . After sticking

7/11/25 Angels Shockingly Demote Starting Pitcher to Triple-A Amid Major Struggles. The Los Angeles Angels have made a surprise move, optioning right-handed pitcher Jack Kochanowicz to Triple-A Salt Lake. Kochanowicz has been in the starting rotation all season long, but has struggled mightily (especially as of late), and will now head to Triple-A to work things out. While the move isn't a surprise based on his stats — Kochanowicz has a 6.03 ERA in 19 starts this season — it's a surprise that the Angels actually pulled the trigger on the move after keeping him in the rotation this long. The Angels are the only team in Major League Baseball to have only used five starting pitchers this season.

7/11/25 Angels to Discuss Removing Starter From Rotation Amid Major Struggles. The Los Angeles Angels are considering removing starting pitcher Jack Kochanowicz from the rotation after a run of disappointing starts. Kochanowicz allowed eight runs through 2.2 innings against the Texas Rangers in his start on Thursday. It was the most runs he's allowed in an outing this season, and the third time he had allowed five or more runs in a start this season.

7/11/25 Angels’ Jack Kochanowicz roughed up again in lopsided loss to Rangers. The right-hander is rocked for eight runs and eight hits in 2? innings in an 11-4 defeat. His ERA (6.03) is the highest among American League pitchers who have thrown at least 90 innings.

7/10/25 Angels' Jack Kochanowicz roughed up again in lopsided loss to Rangers. The Angels are the only team in baseball to have used the same five starting pitchers this season, a remarkable achievement considering the deluge of elbow and shoulder injuries that shelve many of the game's top arms every year. Kochanowicz gave up four straight singles in the first inning to put the Angels in a 2-0 hole. The 24-year-old right-hander seemed to recover with two strikeouts in a one-two-three second, but the third inning was a disaster, the Rangers sending 12 men to the plate during a seven-run, six-hit, three-walk, one-balk rally for a 9-0 lead.

7/10/25 Five bargain starting pitchers the Angels could target at trade deadline. The Angels have been toeing the line between buying and selling for the better part of a month now. The obvious spot to look at for an upgrade would be the rotation, where it seems like Jack Kochanowicz is pitching for his life each time he takes the mound. If this is the direction the team goes, these five names should be on every Angels fans' radar.

6/09/25 3 changes Ron Washington needs to make for Angels to keep winning. With the Angels playing good baseball recently, there is added pressure on Ron Washington to start managing this team with more aggression in his decision making process. When the Angels were struggling, Washington backing struggling young pitcher Jack Kochanowicz was one that he could at least make the argument for.

6/05/25 Angels Manager Reveals Jack Kochanowicz's Status in Rotation Amid Major Struggles. Los Angeles Angels right-handed starting pitcher Jack Kochanowicz has struggled in his second MLB season, but manager Ron Washington insists he isn't ready to move the 24-year-old out of the rotation yet. “We're not there with that kid yet,” Washington said. Kochanowicz has shown flashes of potential for the Angels this season, most notably in a dominant 6.2 inning start at Dodger Stadium where he limited the 2024 World Champions to just one run. It doesn't always go so smoothly for the 6-foot-7 righty, however, as he allowed four or more earned runs in three of his five starts in May, then again against the Cleveland Guardians on Sunday.
