6/23/25 Cardinals Update: 1 Last-Second Move Before Cubs Series. The St. Louis Cardinals are set to begin an important series against the Chicago Cubs on Monday night and opted to make a move beforehand. St. Louis announced on Monday afternoon that it is sending right-handed pitcher Gordon Graceffo down to the minors and in his place calling up fellow right-handed pitcher Roddery Muñoz. "RHP Roddery Muñoz has been recalled from Memphis (AAA)," the team announced.

5/11/25 Cardinals May Have Next Closer Waiting In The Wings After Likely Ryan Helsley Trade. The St. Louis Cardinals are on a roll as of late. After falling to 14-19 on the season with a 9-3 loss to the New York Mets on May 2, the team has pulled off a seven-game winning streak and gone back over .500. Mason Keith of Redbird Rants believes that if St. Louis does trade Helsley, they have the next closer waiting in the wings, that being pitching prospect Gordon Graceffo.

4/30/25 Cardinals add Gordon Graceffo for doubleheader vs. Reds. Pitcher Gordon Graceffo will join the St. Louis Cardinals in Cincinnati for the team's split-doubleheader against the Reds on Wednesday. Per major league rules, teams are allowed to add a "27th man" for doubleheaders and St. Louis tapped Graceffo to come up from the Triple-A Memphis Redbirds to have a spot in the bullpen. MLB.com's John Denton reports Graceffo will only be available for Game 2 this evening at 5:40 p.m CDT. Graceffo was also called up as the "27th man" earlier this season for a doubleheader against the Boston Red Sox.

St. Louis' clash against Boston was rained out on Saturday leading to the doubleheader, With two games on the docket, each team is allowed to bring up a player and expand their rosters to 27 players. For the Cardinals, it was announced that they would be bringing up hurler Gordon Graceffo, as shared by MLB.com's John Denton. "The Cardinals recalled RHP Gordon Graceffo from Triple-A Memphis to be their 27th player on the roster for Sunday's doubleheader," Denton said.

St. Louis has started to send some guys down to minor league camp and continued to do so on Thursday. The Cardinals announced that they are sending 24-year-old hurler Gordon Graceffo down to minor league camp, as shared by The Athletic's Katie Woo. "More pitching news: Prior to today's exhibition game, the Cardinals optioned Gordon Graceffo to Triple A," Woo said.

6/29/24 Villanova product Gordon Graceffo makes MLB debut for Cardinals. Villanova grad Gordon Graceffo made his MLB debut Saturday for the St. Louis Cardinals, a day after he was called up. Graceffo went 4.1 innings to mop up a 9-4 loss to the Cincinnati Reds. Wearing No. 67, the native of Cranford, N.J., is the 51st major leaguer in Villanova history and the first since the retirement of Matt Szczur.

6/28/24 Gordon Graceffo promoted to majors, provides a 'fresh arm' for taxed staff: Cardinals Extra. Right-handed pitcher Gordon Graceffo didn't know it at the time, but the way the Cardinals' series opener unfolded Thursday night against the Cincinnati Reds paved the way for his first career big-league promotion. The Cardinals used three relief pitchers in an 11-4 loss to the Reds at Busch Stadium. Two of those relievers, John King (two innings) and Giovanny Gallegos (1 2/3 innings) pitched more than an inning.
