( WAFF ) - The Los Angeles Angels have recalled left-handed pitcher Sam Aldegheri, who will rejoin the team for the series against the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park. According to team officials with the Rocket City Trash Pandas, Aldegheri made nine starts with a 2–2 record with a 4.20 ERA over 49.1 innings pitched. He has struck out 48 while issuing 27 walks. Aldegheri was scheduled to start in Tuesday's series opener in Birmingham and was the only member of Rocket City's roster currently on Los Angeles' 40-man roster. The 22-year-old left hander, who became the first Italian born and raised player to pitch in the big leagues, warmed up while Survivor's “Eye of the Tiger” played in the background.
