7/30/25 Can the Phillies really afford to acquire a hitter like Chicago's Luis Robert Jr.?. The maddening thing about the Phillies' two biggest issues is that they have not changed since opening day. When the Phillies decided to enter 2025 with Max Kepler in left field and Jordan Romano in the back of the bullpen, most of the fan base figured Dave Dombrowski would end up exactly where he is right now: scrambling to find an actual solution. Dombrowski knows this better than anybody. The trade market deadline always exacts its pound of flesh.

7/21/25 Phillies Front Office Has Delicate Balancing Act To Do Ahead of MLB Trade Deadline. The Philadelphia Phillies are one of the teams who are surefire buyers ahead of the MLB trade deadline. With just 10 days until the MLB trade deadline, the front office knows what it has to do to put the team in the best position possible to contend for a World Series. The outfield situation remains a bit messy, ideally on the lookout for a right-handed hitter they can platoon with Max Kepler in left field. It's a role Otto Kemp currently holds.

7/20/25 As Max Kepler struggles to produce, his time with Philadelphia Phillies could be winding down. The time is running out for Max Kepler with the Philadelphia Phillies. Kepler has struggled to find his footing in a Phillies uniform, as the pressure may be beginning to mount for the veteran left fielder. Signed to be an everyday player in left field, Kepler has been given the opportunity to be a productive bat in an outfield that has needed some pop. The production just hasn't been there.
