I also suggested that Carson Benge through Sunday was hitting so well after his promotion to AA that the Mets might want to consider promoting him straight from AA to the majors. I have recently suggested that the incredible Jonah Tong could have helped the Mets more than some of David's painful parade of AAAA relievers, too, with Tong going straight from AA to the bigs. Someone taking the contrary view suggested that guys never go straight from AA to the majors. Special guys do, though.
