7/30/25 Could the Texas Rangers move Jon Gray? Here's what a potential trade could look like. With less than 24 hours to go until the trade deadline and the Rangers dealing with little payroll flexibility and a thin farm system, they may have to get creative in order to add to the roster. Consider last year's trade of Michael Lorenzen to open up room for Andrew Chafin and Carson Kelly. The Rangers moved salary to add a bit of salary without adding a ton to an already over-the-CBT tax payroll. Gray's return to the roster last week was hailed for the flexibility it gave Bruce Bochy.

7/27/25 Kansas City Royals Rotation Takes Another Hit. The Kansas City Royals were already dealing with a couple of big injuries to their rotation, with Michael Lorenzen landing on the IL on July 11 with a left oblique strain, and ace Cole Ragans initially placed on the 15-day IL with a left rotator cuff strain in early June, before being transferred to the 60-day IL in early July. On Sunday, former Stanford Cardinal and 2025 All Star Kris Bubic is joining them on the IL with what is being reported as a left rotator cuff strain.

7/26/25 $7 Million Royals Ex-All-Star Listed As Top Rental Trade Piece. The Kansas City Royals are likely to be sellers this year at the trade deadline. Last year, they won 86 games and secured a Wild Card spot before bowing out in the American League Division Series. Kansas City is 50-53 on the season, nine games back in the AL Central and four back in the Wild Card race. One such pitcher is Michael Lorenzen.
