7/28/25 Brewers Receive 'Notable' Pre-Trade Deadline Injury Update. The Milwaukee Brewers got some rough news on Monday. Milwaukee reliever Rob Zastryzny has been working his way back from a rib injury but re-aggrevated it, per MLB.com's Adam McCalvy. "Notable Brewers injury news with the Trade Deadline looming: LHP Rob Zastryzny had a relapse of his rib injury and has been returned from rehab assignment," McCalvy said. Zastryzny came over to Milwaukee earlier in the season and he was impressive.

5/20/25 Insider Drops Nugget About Brewers' 2025 Trade Strategy. The Milwaukee Brewers have been more active in the trade market this season than expected for the time in the year. Milwaukee already has pulled off three different trades and it's just May 20th. The Brewers completed trades with the Boston Red Sox, Baltimore Orioles, and New York Yankees already this season. The most recent deal brought Rob Zastryzny to town from New York.

5/16/25 Yankees Trade LHP to Brewers. The New York Yankees have sent left handed pitcher Rob Zastryzny to the Milwuakee Brewers, the team announced. The 33-year-old did not appear for New York in an MLB game. Zastryzny holds a 4-0 MLB record throughout his career, spending time with the Chicago Cubs from 2016-2018, New York Mets in 2022, Los Angeles Chargers in 2022, Pittsburgh Pirates in 2023 and then last season with the Brewers.

2/18/25 In Need of Bullpen Lefties, New York Yankees Sign Veteran to Minor League Contract. Journeyman left-hander Rob Zastryzny has a shot to catch on with the New York Yankees. Designated for assignment by the Chicago Cubs last week, he cleared waivers and subsequently elected free agency. It's an intriguing opportunity for Zastryzny since the Yankees have just two left-handed potential relievers – Tim Hill, who signed a one-year contract earlier this month, and the recently acquired Brent Headrick – on the 40-man roster.

2/17/25 Former Chicago Cubs Pitcher Signed by New York Yankees in Late Move. It's easy to forget about the early offseason additions the Chicago Cubs made after they brought in two high-profile stars later in the winter, but those players who were originally added are also major reasons why this team is being viewed as NL Central favorites. With a massive need in the bullpen, Jed Hoyer wasted little time making upgrades. One of those was claiming Rob Zastryzny off waivers after he was designated for assignment by the Milwaukee Brewers in the early stages of the offseason. Seen as someone who could be a left-handed weapon for the Cubs, he became one of the causalities when the front office got aggressive to add other pieces to their bullpen.
