6/01/25 | 2 former Tigers pitchers designated for assignment over weekend. Two veteran left-handed pitchers and former Detroit Tigers were designated for assignment this weekend. Joe Mantiply was DFA'd by the Arizona Diamondbacks on Friday, while the Milwaukee Brewers dropped Tyler Alexander from the roster on Sunday. Both pitchers will have the right to become free agents if they clear waivers, though they could also accept outright assignments to the minor leagues. Alexander, who turns 31 next month, was 3-5 with a 6.19 ERA (3.58 FIP) in 36 1/3 innings with the Brewers. Source: https://www.mlive.com/tigers/2025/06/2-former-tige... |

5/14/25 | Giants' Lee Jung-hoo belts 1st home run at home in 2025 season. San Francisco Giants outfielder Lee Jung-hoo has finally hit one out of his home park. The Korean player batted 2-for-5 with his first home run at Oracle Park in San Francisco, helping the Giants defeat the Arizona Diamondbacks 10-6 on Tuesday. The three-run home run off left-hander Joe Mantiply in the bottom of the eighth was Lee's fifth long ball of 2025 but first in San Francisco in his 19th game there. Oracle Park is a tough stadium for left-handed hitters to hit home runs because of its high fence in the right field. Source: https://koreajoongangdaily.joins.com/news/2025-05-... |
