The festivities this time began with the team's theme song blasting over the loudspeakers with the task of pumping up the crowd falling to rookie cornerbacks Jason Marshall Jr., Ethan Robinson and B.J. | 8/01/25 | Dolphins Make Roster Moves. The Miami Dolphins announced today that they have signed quarterback Brett Gabbert and placed cornerback Kader Kohou on the injured reserve list. Gabbert entered the NFL as an undrafted college free agent with Miami on May 22, 2025, and spent the offseason program with the team before being waived on July 22, 2025. He played collegiately at Miami (OH), where he started 53 games in six seasons (2019-24) and completed 778-of-1,331 passing attempts (58.5 pct.) for 10,814 yards and 80 touchdowns with 30 interceptions. Gabbert finished his career ranked second all-time among RedHawks quarterbacks in touchdown passes and third in passing yards.
