7/24/25 Jake Rogers Highlights Tigers' Recent Ineptitude in Tuesday Game at Pirates. The Detroit Tigers looked to return to their winning ways against the Pirates in Pittsburgh on Tuesday as they took on former Tigers utility man Don Kelly's team. Detroit had lost seven of eight games heading into Tuesday's action including a six-game losing streak that caused fans to start questioning the team. Manager AJ Hinch's team fell behind 5-0 in the fifth inning before fan favorite Jake Rogers stepped to the plate to face Pirates hurler Mitch Keller in what would eventually become a landmark at-bat.
