The Twins selected the contract of Anthony Misiewicz from Triple-A St. Paul to fill the spot vacated when Joey Wentz was designated for assignment. Misiewicz, 30, is a Detroit-area native who attended Anchor Bay High School in Fair Haven and Michigan State University. The Tigers claimed him off waivers from the Arizona Diamondbacks on June 18 and he was called up to the big-league club after a short stint at Triple-A Toledo.
